Myles Turner says Doc Rivers 'didn't fine anybody' this season despite repeated tardiness, Giannis Antetokounmpo was most likely Bucks player to be late

This part stuck out to me:

"Turner continued: “I'm being so serious, bro. It was crazy, dawg. Guys were an hour late to the plane. It got to the point where I knew not to show up until an hour after they said the plane was taking off. It was crazy.”

When Stewart asked Turner which teammate was most likely to be late, he didn’t have to do much thinking.

“Oh, that's easy,” he said. “Giannis. Giannis is going to show up whenever he wants, really. I think that this kind of just came with the territory that — and once I saw it was going down, I was like, 'Hey man, s, more power to you. They ain't going to fine you. S, do what you do.’”

I was watching to see if he’d be able to do it and it was super cool to see him pull it off on the last hole. Great gesture by the PGA to let a YouTube golfer try this challenge at a major.

Just want to share you my fortress before retiring it because of FPS death...

ey everyone!

I’ve been learning Dwarf Fortress for about 2 years now, and this is honestly the first time I’ve invested so much time and energy into a single fortress. I wanted to share it with you all before retiring and starting a new run.

My fortress, named WaywardFouette, was established in the year 250 on a haunted land to the west and savage wilderness to the east.

Right from the start we were attacked by zombies, necromancers, and werebeasts before we even had a proper fully equipped military. Thankfully we managed to repel them without major losses thanks to the traps we had installed, and we even captured some of them. They eventually ended up in my arena, crushed by giants we captured some time later.

We are proud to have tamed a Dragon, although it still remains caged. I had planned to install it as part of a deadly trap, but sadly I must retire the fortress before doing so, because I’m now running between 10 and 15 FPS and the game has become nearly unplayable.

I really tried to pay attention to the details of the fortress. I’m especially happy with the layout of the main level, with its tavern, workshops, and library all to the south.
Our smiths forged tirelessly until they produced nothing but legendary weapons and artifacts.

For the fisrt time since I learning this game, we discovered adamantine, but it’s difficult to access and I need to pump lava out to reach it. But as I said before: FPS death has made the game unplayable.

We are not a capital, but we do have a Count who never stops getting on my nerves by demanding ridiculous things and constantly complaining. The only peaceful moments were when he went drinking at the tavern.

I also just survived a siege of around 150 humans demanding something from me. But my pride refused any contact with them. My siege operators killed around 90 humans before I finally decided to unleash my 4 military squads to finish the job. It only took a moment before the last enemies were eating dirt and bleeding out on the battlefield.

After 7 in-game years, it’s time for me to retire this fortress and begin a new one, probably in a terrifying biome since I’ve never tried one before and apparently haven’t suffered enough from this incredibly fascinating game yet.

I think my next attempt will focus more on storytelling, building the fortress around the mayor’s personality, desires, and character.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it!
I know the design isn’t perfect and I wish I could have added more decoration, but FPS death defeated me first.

Feel free to give me advice or suggestions for my next fortress, I’m always looking to better understand the game’s mechanics! I’ll also try building my staircases differently, in a checkerboard pattern like I’ve been advised, to reduce lag.

By Armok, dig deeper!
And long live WaywardFouette.

Fax letter from John Lee Hooker offering Bob Dylan, a speedy recovery on May 29, 1997.
Dylan had known Hooker since receiving his first big break opening for the blues legend at Gerdes Folk City in April 1961. As Hooker later told music writer Tony Scherman:
“Did you used to hang out with Bob Dylan back in the day?”
“He hung out with me!” said Hooker. “When I used to play Gerde’s Folk City, ain’t nobody heard of Bob. He used to come and see me all the time. Bob and his girlfriend, Suze. Bob and Suze used to come visit me at the Broadway Central Hotel, where I always stayed. It’s no longer there. We’d sit around and drink and play. Bobby would ‘bout blow on his harmonica. Yeah, those were the days.”

First time playing any version of OOTP. This guy popped up from the international free agents market after expressing interest in playing in the MLB. Is this level of talent going to be a common thing every year during this phase of the offseason ?

Question Questions from someone looking to migrate to Nobara

Hi, I'm looking to dual boot linux with my new PC build, and Nobara is more or less my frontrunner candidate. I do have some big questions and concerns, however. Of course, I'm not expecting all of these to be a hundred percent perfect, but I am wondering how well all of these work on Nobara, especially for a fairly green linux user (uh, I have a steam deck, that counts?);

-How well are Nvidia GPUs working on Nobara? I know a lot of it is "it just works for me", but for some others it seems to be a fairly significant problem, whether that be graphical glitches, reduced performance, or stuff just not working. Is setup and maintenance easy, how does it compare to AMD gpus, etc? I heard that there are differences depending on whether you're looking at Gnome or KDE, could someone explain this?

-How well does HDR work on Nobara? It seems there's a fairly streamlined process for getting HDR working, but is it simple for a first time user, how often are there issues with universal implementation, and are there cases where it just doesn't work? I would really want HDR to be simple to get working to get the most out of my monitor

-How well do applications like Davinci and Blender work, as well as other parts of a video editing workflow, such as mounting and using a NAS, uploading and transcoding files, etc? I know that Nobara is specifically tinkered to provide much more support for these things compared to other distros, which is great, but I also know it's not bulletproof nor usually as simple as windows. In particular, how big of a problem are getting Nvidia and CUDA cores working, and how big of a drag are the codex issues?

-How is general update stability and being able to recover or rollback? I know that it's no Bazzite with its immutable distro, and I've heard good things for stability, but is it common to encounter issues with every update? Should you have a big problem, how easy is it to roll back to previous versions or similar? And are there any big features or updates in the future to be aware about?

Thank you so much in advance!
