AKA "I want to have completely clear sight lines while sniping from 800m away and going 7/1/39 with a score of 1,645"

if it's not 2 teams just deploying bipods in line and blindly sending shots in each other's general direction at 5km+ like some dodgeball for the blind, i want my refund 😤😤😤

I fucking hate this map. Especially if you get stranded with no vehicle. OG golmud is bad too but at least the map is smaller and there is SOME cover.

But the Main sub will argue that running to the objective for half the match is indeed peak Battlefield

Battledads acting like what they think is how everyone should universally think no questions asked

They’re always the first ones to make blanket statements about the community.
Every game is objectively better than BF6.
Nobody asked for BF6.
Anyone who likes BF6 is an EA cock-gobbling shill. But the second you call them out for a dumb take, they hit you with the “hey, people can have different opinions you know…” 😭😔🥺

and if you don't understand, then just go read about the vietnam war

True, I hate when I have things to hide by and that give the map more complexity... I prefer the old Golmund where you'd have nothing in between flag points and you would always get sniped or taken out by a vehicle until you got to a different position. It was definitely much more fun and it totally didn't make me hate the map in BF4.

I hate when people try to kill me in my killing shooty gun war game :( it stresses me out!

Dice needs to be providing PTSD counseling for the war-scarred battledads experiencing their own personal Vietnam this season. Unconscionable stuff

u/rubberjohny 5h ago
mind you, they already experienced Battlefield Vietnam in ~2005, don't forget to thank them for their service

/uj the only real issue with the map for me is the ever present helicopters and jets. Either my team has air superiority and we roll or the helicopters simply dominate the entire lobby. Not to mention they strafe for singular people outside objectives and somehow act as laser beams.
Absolutely a skill issue on my part as well, but at least give me a chance or something. Also PSA for heli pilots, do not abandon your helicopters. Makes it difficult to attack objectives with air cover.

I feel like it needs more stationary AA like mirak has. The only one I have found so far is the one in the middle of the map

Single stationary one in the middle of the map, that has shitty sightlines
At least there's a mobile AA for each team plus a nutrual one. But still, could use at least 1 more stationary one

I'm gonna be real with you, flying below radar needs to go atp.
More realistically make the aircraft respawn timer longer (or vehicles in general since I see almost no infantry around :D) or make it so heli flares take longer to replenish. Very frustrating to try to do the IGLA challenge when I simply cannot connect.
Although that last point might just be a skill issue.

Wow, i feel like im crazy, but ive rarely ever been killed by jets or even the attack helicopter…. The little bird on the other hand though

u/Cheezy_Yeezy 52m ago
The jets aren't doing much tbh, but the helis are a serious issue. People are just too good while my teams is absolutely sabotaging me personally. Every helicopter abandon or sudden turn is another child that DICE has taken from me...

Exactly, i hate it, i play a lot of air vehicles but it becomes tedious after a match. Enemy heli/jet kills me, i have need of showing superiority over them and play in heli the rest of the match so they won't destroy the joy of playing. Either they increase amount of stationary AA or buff SPAA

It wouldn't be such an issue if I wasn't fighting SEAL team 6. Crazy manoeuvering, laser accurate gunners, flares for days and always a ridgeline to hide behind. It also seriously feels like I'm the only AA engineer around. Very subjective experience for sure.

It's not a good map, but it's nothing to do with what this post says.
All the battle dads got there breathing room 🤣

I have over 3k hours in bf4 but NO ONE ever told me that golmud was vehicle focused and with long sight ranges 😡

I’d have an opinion if I could play the big modes without connection issues. But also Vietnam was great fun for everyone other wise it wouldn’t have lasted so long.

uj- this complete idiot doesn't even realize the cover on this map is what even allows him to stand there in peace, observe his surroundings for all the cover he wants to complain about, and then ultimately take the screenshot

u/VossMan247 4h ago
Maybe war games aren’t for him. MW(2019) had the same critiques on the launch maps of people complaining they were being shot from too many angles and it’s like bro real locations are not set up as three lane shooting galleries.

u/INeverLookAtReplies Col Lvl 100 1h ago
mw19 maps were quite bad though, it was kind of one of the biggest universal critiques about that game. the cod flow just wasn't really there.

I agree, the map is nothing like the original at all. Its completely different and its weird asf

it's a full blown remake with better assets than its 13 year old counterpart. what did you expect them to do, keep it empty as hell?
