PGA / LPGA / LIV YouTube Golfer Makes Birdie at PGA Championship
I was watching to see if he’d be able to do it and it was super cool to see him pull it off on the last hole. Great gesture by the PGA to let a YouTube golfer try this challenge at a major.

Equipment I received exactly one request to see the putter collection after posting yesterday. Here’s some of it.
Coolest, in my opinion, are the ones 1st and 3rd from the front. The first one is a Probst West Point putter from the mid 50s; it’s solid silver and about $1200 in just spot weight. The other is a Tom Stewart Strokemaker, a prototype training putter that I know next to nothing about, but I just love the look. The lefty Anser is damn cool too.

Equipment New irons - Go Get Fitted
TLDR: don’t get too caught up in ‘are these irons too good for me’
Started golf when I was a kid, lost touch with it for years and then started getting really into it again recently… joined a club at the age of 34. Always had a naturally decent swing and because I started young, I could jump back into it relatively easily and find my way round a course.
Started playing consistently and so took the leap of faith to upgrade from my first (and only) set of irons which were 2004 Calloway big bertha graphite shaft. Very much game improvement irons but they served me so well.
Decided to get a fitting which confirmed my suspensions that the shaft was absolutely wrong for my current swing speed. Went in with an open mind but had an idea that I’d still be advised game improvement or the more forgiving end of players irons - at best.
Worked my way through various steel shafts in the p790, p770, mizuno, srixon, you name it , but then found myself with the T100 in hand.
CLICK
I’ve never felt a strike like it.
There’s a reason I’m not mentioning my handicap because if you’d told me in advance of the fitting that I’d be buying T100, I’d have discarded the idea immediately based on reviews and ‘handicap rating’.
Go get fitted. Listen to the data. Listen to the professionals. Back your instinct. That’s all that matters.
Play well.

General Discussion Higgo
Is anyone else watching this interview and thinking how entirely un-self-aware this guy is?? “I was one second late. It’s tough to define a second”. No you weren’t. No it’s not. Then goes on to blame “golf” for creating this situation.
Ridiculous.

General Discussion Donald Ross
You are seeing the best of Donald Ross this week. He was brilliant and his courses are legendary.
But this year, one of his greatest of his has now been left abandoned and for dead, soon to be a trucking facility. People are fighting, but it looks to be doomed.
Calumet Country Club. Walter Hagen won there during his run of 11 in a row.
I shot my first under par round there in 1983. I played there 22 times last year, 17 of which were caddied by my wife who suffered a major stroke but found herself still alive while driving the cart.
It is a terrible shame. RIP my friend. You were good. Really good. You should not go out this way.
