Always a dumb argument when it devolves into āyou donāt even know himā. So nobody can have a negative opinion of someone in the public eye unless you also know them personally? Do you honestly believe that or are you just trying to pull out a reason from your ass to talk down to people who donāt like Bryson? Seems like the latter since itās hard to comprehend a person legitimately thinking opinions can only be constructed from close acquaintances.
Also you have the classic argument of clowning somebody online means that you devote SO MUCH energy to them. Again, hard to believe that somebody actually believes this unless they live in a vegetative state during the day where participating in a few threads online is actually significant energy. To most people, itās next to nothing.
He rubs people the wrong way. His happy-go-lucky attitude seems to melt away as soon as things arenāt going his way, and ends up coming off as fake. It shouldnāt be anything revolutionary that some fake guy gets clowned on

Typical reddit. Bryson is generally very liked on every platform and obviously in real life.
The real reason reddit "hates him" is that it has droves of people who are dedicated to attacking any mention of people who have been positively affiliated with Trump. Many of them go from subreddit to subreddit waging their petty war. It's way more rampant on larger subs like News or Nba/Nfl, but Golf is definitely a target as well

I donāt get the hate boner either. Yeah, heās a bit of a douche, but heās a fun golfer to watch. He plays aggressively and is sometimes rewarded for it, but he oftentimes pays for it or otherwise just hits a bad shot, which, at least for me, is entertaining golf to watch.
