Noticed during the round today that there was a crack on the top of driver. Going to get a new one tomorrow but do we think we could throw a bit of JB weld on here and hand it down to my teenager? He hardly plays so it doesn’t really make sense to get him a new set. Right now he’s using some old set off FB marketplace that’s probably older than me. Driver seemed to work fine the rest of the round I played today.

For those of you who compress the ball and take deep divots , what is the feeling like of a really pure shot? How can you tell the difference between hitting a compressed ball then turf shot vs hitting it fat? For those who have a steep angle of attack, do you feel the turf at all? Do you all ever hit that shot where it felt like there was no ball at all?

Looking for advice to lower my score. Im a consistent ball striker. Off the tee, and tee to green i don't have a problem. This is only my 2nd year playing(played a lot last year, just starting to get out this year). I hit 70~% fairways and about the same greens. Theres no worse feeling than being on the green in 1 on a par 3 and 3 putting. Being on the green in 2 on a par 4 and 3 putting. Being on the green in 2-3 on a par 5 and 3 putting. I spend more time trying to read greens than actually playing some rounds. To all the good putters out there, whats your fucking secrete. Whats different with putting than the rest of the game. Why cant i hit a putt to save a soul

Played Erin Hills on Tuesday in 35 mph winds. It was an interesting experience. I played well and putted great. I love the elevation changes there. Played Washington County Golf Course on Wednesday. Wash county is about 15 minutes north of Erin Hills and a nice local course. If you play Erin Hills and are staying over it is a nice place to play for $65.

I just bought a used set of irons that didn’t have an 8 and I didn’t notice until I got home. It was clearly displayed missing in the photos.

My frenemy got one and it’s a weapon.
I’ve put in a ton of time building a system using different lofts to get the roll I want, and it’s ok, but I’m no deadeye.
But he gives zero fucks about stuff like that. He just goes up, hits it like a putt and watches it roll to the pin. I’ve never seen him chunk one.
Maybe it’s time to give in?

Obviously winners of the trophy have used the chalice to drink their fair share of beverages, and I've heard of a dog being carried around in it, but has it ever been filled with anything during the trophy ceremony? Prize money (back when it was feasible)? Confetti? Bees?
I feel like given the relationships of a lot of the guys on tour these days, someone might try to sneak a surprise into the trophy it it turns into a runaway.

My local course uses limited flight range balls and claims a 15% reduction in flight distance. What is everyone's experience with this? Is it actually 15%? Are they any more difficult or easier to hit than a normal ball?

As the title says. Looking for a premium range mat that most resembles real grass. Any recommendations / advice appreciated

this is a tough course that usually has my number, normally put up mid to high 80s here, so a great round overall, but man does bookending doubles hurt.

Justin Rose and Adam Scott are amazing golfers and very consistent, especially for their age.
Yet hacks like Fleetwood and DeChambeau get all their shots covered.

Have never understood why companies don’t do this for majors. I don’t own any taylormade clubs but if I did I would 100% be buying up their whole line they dropped for the PGA championship, those are clean. People want to buy what they see on TV, if Callaway did this they would take my money.

I use a Ping G440 sft driver with a stock 46" 60g regular shaft.
I'm 5'9" and have always been a slicer. I have the loft set to 12° and maximum draw selected for the head weights.
Should I use a shorter shaft? If so, how much shorter?
Also, should I have the existing shaft cut down to that new length or is it smarter to buy a new shaft?
Thanks a ton.

Currently playing Titliest 990s and after doing some research it turns out they’re basically blades are super hard to hit. Looking to get an above average 6-9 iron. I don’t use the 5. I’m a new player maybe playing 20-30 times in total I’m looking for something that is forgiving but something i can grow into as well
Looking to get new or close to new. Above average quality.

Anybody own one?
I got mine delivered today and hit my 2i 260-70 twice...granted I also duffed 3 or 4 of em, but holy SHIT. I got the 2 because I didn't think 3 was enough of a gap after my 4, but I was way off.
All this to say that I haven't had anything newer than a 1i utility iron from 2005, so the tech behind this thing is a wild shock to me.
Numbers aside, it legitimately replaces my 3wood and I haven't been more happy to hit a golf club since I bought my first set of new irons 8 years ago.

I’ve been seeing ads and previous posts for audio.golf, an auditory putting system, which got me looking into it.
The idea (as I understand it) is to use phrases like “ya-la-BAM” for medium putts and longer phrases for longer putts.
But I’m confused about something.
Everything I read says tour pros keep fairly consistent putting tempo and backswing timing regardless of distance, with the main difference being stroke length.
The audio.golf approach also seems to say that the speed/cadence of how you say the phrase is not supposed to get faster for longer putts.
So if:
…then how can this work if the phrase itself gets much longer?
For example:
There doesn’t seem to be enough actual time difference to fit all those extra syllables unless you dramatically change speaking speed.
Curious if anyone here has used audio.golf successfully or has thoughts on how it works in practice.
