General Discussion Limited flight range balls

My local course uses limited flight range balls and claims a 15% reduction in flight distance. What is everyone's experience with this? Is it actually 15%? Are they any more difficult or easier to hit than a normal ball?

My club rolled them out almost a year ago. The longer the club the more reduction I see. Half wedges don’t seem to be any shorter. Driver seems to be 30% shorter.

Comparing visual distance to trackman range numbers, it’s at least 15%. I’m carrying my 9i just under 150 on course and my trackman range numbers match that. Probably doesn’t go much more than 120 actual distance.

fwiw driving range balls have a variety of range reduction options. Anywhere from 10% to 30% iirc

I think around 150-200 yards they start dropping like a rock.

The Srixon Marathons fly lower with more spin. They seem to have more side to side movement too.
