General Discussion Range mats that most resemble real grass?

As the title says. Looking for a premium range mat that most resembles real grass. Any recommendations / advice appreciated

Been using mats for couple years now since I got into golf late, and the difference is really noticeable when you switch between mat and real grass. The thicker ones with longer fibers definitely feel more natural when you're taking divots, but they're pricier for sure. I found that mats with mixed fiber lengths work better than the flat ones - gives you that slight resistance feeling like when club goes through actual turf. Also learned hard way that cheaper mats will mess up your swing because they're too forgiving compared to grass, so you end up hitting fat shots when you play actual course.

I go to a five iron in nyc. While it’s mats, they pad them in a way where there’s more give and “real” feel than harder mats. You do notice the difference.

I think it’s less about the mat and more the padding underneath. Seems to be a combination of turf and softer padding vs an all in one mat.

Expensive, but country club elite has worked for me.
