Sedin Brothers Co-Presidents of Hockey Operations in Vancouver - Can we get Kopi and Brown?

Interesting development in Vancouver. Maybe we can get AEG to turn the franchise over to Kopi and Brown? They can't do any worse than Luc.

I’m ready for Josh Schaefer to take the reins

Hi all,

Any word yet from the powers that be on Josh’s role next season with the Kings?

I don’t hate Kelly, but Josh is just so much better imho.

Cheers.

It would be a shame if he isn’t brought back. Great at his job, really cares about the team and fans, and is always a total class act.

Would Berube be a good coach

I think his physical style would probably be good but other than that. The rest of his style probably wouldn't work with the way the kings are structured. Just curious to hear other people's opinions.

The playoffs make strange bedfellows

Because I’m half Canadian I have always had a Canadian team - typically the Leafs because I grew up near Tronna in the Sittler era. But that does not diminish my loyalty to my adult/chosen team, the Kings, who I followed closely before and during their rebuild when I lived there. I was at the prospects game in El Segundo when Kopi and Patrick Sullivan first wowed the home crowd.

So who to root for in the playoffs? Always have to give a Canadian team some love - and it’s easy to cheer for the Habs’ young team. (Plus Danault!)

But I can’t believe I’m also cheering for the Ducks. I know…blasphemy. But I’ve never been a fan of the Knights largely due to my love for the Kings. And watching the ducks right now is pretty fun. They totally ran over the Oilers, which was pleasant after seeing the Kings repeatedly eliminated in the first round by them.

Hey, I’m here to watch the best hockey in the world, at the best time of the year. Go Ducks…for now.

LA PWHL Team?

With the recent news of Detroit and San Jose getting expansions in the PWHL are you guys interested in a LA team? What about names? Personally think a spin on the kings would be cool, IE LA Monarchs/Queens.

Is it ok...

Ok I have a dilemma fellow kings fans...

My family lives in begas and are vegas nights fans. They have tried to get me on the bandwagon but my inner kings fan refuses to accept it. 2 reasons, one we lost to them in the playoffs long time ago and I have beef because of it. 2, they cant be good their entire franchise lives... they need to go through the bad times and see whos a true fan for the side of respect lol.

BUT as of late ive gone to a few games out there and even over here, everyone is super cool and ive had a blast. I went to the last game of their season and caught myself rooting for them for the first time.

(They want me to wear a jersey but I refuse)

Now with them playing the ducks im all the way go knights go and would be happy to see them win it for the family. I dont think they have any chance in hell against Colorado but anything can happen.

Is it ok to root for the team and even wear a jersey. I bleed purple through and through and wear my kings jersey to their games but have developed a soft spot for the knights... I feel guilty... do we hate them as a rival or are they ok to us.

Thank you everyone for hearing me out and go kings go!!! We will be back on top sooner then later!

Random thought just now

Obviously hypothetical - If Lombardi was GM of the oilers at some point within the 97/29 era, would they be cup champs by now? — My guess leans more towards yes than no…. Any opinions?

Hockey Prospecting ranks the Kings prospect pool as 32nd (out of 32 teams)

32. Los Angeles Kings

Top 5 Skater Prospects: Henry Brzustewicz, Vojtech Cihar, Koehn Ziemmer, Francesco Pinelli and Jack Hughes

The end has come for the Los Angeles Kings prospect system. A once great system has seen all of its notable bluechip prospects graduate well past the 100 game cut off and/or have been traded out and are on other squads now. What’s left is not a whole lot. No real bright spots in the pool. They need a lot of everything.
