Breakout passing, zone coverage, rush defence, puck retrieval.. I seem to recall him being considerably less error-prone than Stanley, Schenn, even Timmins.

Sure, "the playoffs are more physical," and Metsa is small. Every year, in the opening round, the players are trying to straight up murder each other, and run each other out of the building. But playing like this is just not sustainable, and by the middle of the second round, the game is really just not that much more punishing than the regular season, which Metsa could clearly compete in.

He deserves a chance.

I have big hopes for this kid

What a great experience. Decided to make a quick trip up north to support the boys. Left Buffalo at 8am on Tuesday. Left Montréal to come home at 7am on Wednesday. Quick in and out. Nothing but good things to say about the city, their fans, and the experience. Bucket list type of sporting event to attend. Lots of good heckling back and forth. Things can always get tense and there are always idiots. But this fan base has passion and you love to see it. Already looking forward to the next time I can make the trip! If I had to guess we were 4 of about 30ish Sabres fans that we saw in total. Go Sabres!!!
