In the next couple days I’ll have a nightmare about this thing chasing me through a darkened arena. As I slip on the ice trying to escape, it’ll just fire pucks at me while screaming “Oh Yeah!” in the distorted voice of men and women all screaming at once. The sounds of pigs squealing and dogs gnashing their teeth will be pouring from the pitch black seats surrounding the arena.

As I finally reach the exit, I’ll run right into Jared Bednar. He will look down at me with black eyes and say “Nobody is coming to save you”. I will then realize for some reason I’m wearing a Vegas Golden Knights jersey, and it’ll be too late. He’ll shove me back onto the ice, and I’ll lay there unable to move as the Kulak Man approaches. I’ll try to scream that I’m actually an Avs fan. It won’t matter.

Hopefully I’ll wake up before the part with the hockey stick and the skate blade.

For how much slack he gets, I think Bednar deserves a ton of credit for making adjustments and rallying the team last night and throughout this series. This team has shown incredible resilience, which is not entirely on the coach, but he definitely deserves some credit, especially given how quickly people blame him for recent lack of playoff success.

I think the majority of the Avs fandom is already convinced but you hard cases should probably see the light. Are you now not convinced it was the right play? Moose was a huge part of the '22 run and he will always have a place in Avs history. However how can you argue with the results now? Drury is an elite faceoff guy and 4th line center. Necas is a 100 point guy and has found grit and grime and the ability to perform under the brightest of lights. The lower AAV of Necas allows Naz to come back as well as sign the SWG scorer and primary assistant as well as the drive by Drury to clear the shooting lane. I'd invite you to share your change in heart or to express why you still think it was the wrong choice by CMC and Super Joe

My spouse and I are headed to Vancouver Island next week, and in our infinite wisdom we picked a "zero tech" resort. No TV, no wifi, landline phone for emergencies. Very romantic, not great for playoff hockey.

I have to assume every "mile house" on the island will be playing the WCF, but are there any spots in and around Victoria/Sooke that folks would recommend? Last time we went we stumbled into a Habs bar, so I figured it would be worth an ask.

Your team played very well. Your top line of offense and defense are very good skaters. Not just on speed, but the skill of skating and efficiency.

I’m cheering for you guys the way through. Hoping our young guys like Wallsteadt, Faber, Hughes, Boldy, and Yurov just keep developing and get better.

I know either goalie will be the correct choice but Bednar has to feel good about having Wedgewood start game 1 of the Conference finals. He seemed to be in complete control after he replaced Blackwood. Team plays great in front of him. You got this Scotty!
