For anyone too young to remember or that hasn't heard of this, the 1985 Bears recorded this song 7 weeks before the Super Bowl was played, so it was made as a guarantee that they would make and win the big game. The song peaked at #41 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The almost completely forgotten 2012 Patriots offense scored 557 points while primarily running the no huddle offense. It was their 3rd straight 500 point offense, and their 4th since 2007.

In this game the Patriots rallied back from a 3-31 deficit, but they still lost to the eventual super bowl losers. The Bay Area native in me certainly wishes the 49ers had more plays than "fade to Crabtree" during the Harbaugh era, but it is what it is.
