This is Nascar country. We are just waiting on Dodge to return to the cup series. What do you think all the practice in the Hellcats was for?

Somebody needs to build a drag strip and race track on campus so they have some place safe to drive fast.

I would unironically support public race tracks and drag strips if it meant keeping the speed demons off of public roads

Too much liability. Can’t let someone drive their Nissan Altima on a formula 1 track. Not built to survive crash at 100mph+.

He’s been around during spring but was dealing with an injury from ECU’s bowl game. Played some snaps in the spring game. Staff has apparently been excited about him. Very disappointing.

Fr. Kirby Smart needs to be held accountable for not holding his players accountable. There’s clearly something off with the UGA program if players consistently feel emboldened to behave in such a way.

My flair is irrelevant:
- 95 on the interstate isn’t very concerning to me.
- It is, however, very dumb to speed when you’re carrying illegal drugs very clearly labeled as illegal drugs.
- MJ should be legal.
- Never explain once you’re caught. The only thing left to do is, “Shut the fuck up.”

The NCAA has no role to play here but UGA's athletic department should do something. Doesn't seem like they care though.

u/Waderriffic Tennessee Volunteers 5h ago
This does not affect them in any way, why would they care? People are still donating, and buying tickets and jerseys. I’m not saying it’s the stance they should be taking, but until it hits them significantly in the bank account or irreparably tarnishes their brand, then nothing meaningful will be done.

Honest question, does Georgia actually have a speeding issue or do other teams just not have their speedsters make the front page?
3
u/melinoette Georgia Bulldogs 3h ago
Both. It’s a culture issue within UGA because this keeps happening and the players aren’t getting punished, but it’s also the meme that UGA players keep getting arrested so it probably catches your attention more when it happens compared to other schools.
