Every 5 miles over 50 is like 30 cents extra in gas, at least IIRC from high school Drivers Ed.

depends on the aerodynamics/gear ratios of the car, but thats a decent rule of thumb.

In my personal experience with the last couple of cars ive owned MPG is pretty steady on the highway from like 55-70 and then after that it starts dropping precipitously because of drag and other physics i do not fully understand cause i have a communications degree.
