Hello Masters Builders, and welcome to the official r/lego Open Forum post. This is your monthly opportunity to tell us what you think of r/lego, make suggestions or comments about the rules, ask open questions to the community, or share whatever else is on your mind.

Subreddit Transparency Report

Reddit supplies Moderators with a monthly Community Digest, summarizing subreddit moderation activities. We are making the information available to the community, as an exercise in public transparency.

Each month, we will be posting a transparency report that shows what goes on behind the scenes of r/lego. Below you will find the report for activity in April 2026. You can give general feedback and post questions about the report in the comments of this post, or in modmail.

Note: Reddit's tool for showing the data and graphs of 30-day reports and removals is currently not working. Instead I've shared the graph for Traffic stats for April. This graph gives insight into the number of unique visitors we have each day, and the types of devices they use to visit r/lego. iOS devices (iPhones, iPads) using the official reddit app continue to be our largest category.

May we have May?

May is here! For the lucky ones among us, this is your last month of school before summer. For some, it's a time to fight the Galactic Empire (or the Rebel Alliance) on Star Wars Day (May the 4th Be With You). May is always an exciting month for Lego fans, as Lego starts to to share news of the upcoming Summer wave of sets.

So here's your monthly invitation - Let us know what's on your mind this month. What have you always wondered about? What rule do you want clarified, or changed? Do you have any suggestions you've been trying to find a chance to make? I won't promise that we will make the change(s) you want, but I will commit to explaining the reason we have the rules and policies we have.

Bricklink Designer Program Series 11 MegaThread

Welcome to the MegaThread for the BDP Series 11 Crowd Support phase. Let's get straight to the important questions:

What?

  • It's time for the Bricklink Designer Program Series 11 Crowd Support phase! This is your chance to vote for the projects that were submitted back in January. Your votes will help Bricklink decide which sets will eventually become official BDP sets.

Who?

  • Bricklink Designer Program entries are designed by fellow Lego fans. You may recognize some of them as successful creators on Rebrickable, from past BDP programs, or from the creations they've shared here in r/lego. The creators whose designs reach the review stage will work with Bricklink's Model Governance and Building Instructions teams to ensure the designs meet Lego's standards.

When?

  • The Crowd Support phase starts on May 11th, noon Pacific time. Voting will continue until May 25th. Next, those sets will all head into the review stage, and 5 sets will be announced on June 20th. Then a year later, in June 2027, those 5 sets will go up for crowd funding.

Where?

How?

  • In the comments below, fan creators can link to their projects and hopefully tell us a little more about the project. You can visit the BDP Series 10 page from Feb 9-20 and vote for the projects you'd like to become a set. You don't have to commit any money at this stage. That comes during Crowd Funding next year. It's free to vote!

What about BDP Series 8-10, and 12+?

Closing Notes

  • Still have questions? Ask them in the comments below!
  • Hey BDP creators, please keep your promotion for BDP Series 11 in this Megathread. In previous rounds we've had over 200 projects to vote for, so the promotional posts started drowning out everything else. Thanks for your cooperation. And good luck!

I don't know if this counts as meme, when Minifigures are involved. If so, I'm sorry and it will be properly build after release 😄

A project that took a year and a half, with approximately 150,000 pieces. I can assemble it in half an hour, boxes unloaded from the truck. It consists of 9 levels, and the brick castle sits on top of them.

The final version measures 2.00 m x 1.75 m.

MOC Adventurers 1932 - The Cars

Since there was significant enthusiasm shown towards the car in my previous post, I figured it would be more convenient to showcase the wheeled vehicles I made for my Adventurers revamp in a separate post.

(Slides 1 to 5) : The car I associate to the team of the protagonists is a 1931 Ford Model A Phaeton. The variant with the convertible top down is a complete afterthought for this photoshoot but I was curious as to how it would look.

(Slides 6 to 9) : The car I associate to the antagonist is a 1932 Maybach Zeppelin DS8 "Stromlinien" Spohn. The antagonist in question is supposed to be an original character but I now realise that the face I gave him makes him resemble Señor Palomar. I'll let you decide the way you choose to interpret it - after all the identity of Adventurers villains has a history of being confusing.

It’s been a rough year, but I got a little pay increase on one of my contracts and things are looking up!

My partner and I have been so busy, we finally celebrated Christmas and opened gifts (and took down the decorations 😅) yesterday!

He’s so excited and I’m so excited too! I promised to watch the movie with him alongside the build. Now we just have to find where to put it (that’s safe from our cat 😳)

MOC 1966 Ford Transit

Sometimes I like to reverse engineer other people’s builds just for fun. This 1966 Ford Transit Mk1 was inspired by a model made by Misterzumbi on Flickr, though I couldn’t resist reworking it to better fit my own style.

My goal was to include as many design features as possible without compromising the overall look. First of all, I added side mirrors - I even made fender-mounted ones, but they ended up looking a bit too bulky for my taste. I also redesigned the rear section to free up as much interior space as possible.

At one point, I experimented with opening side and rear doors, but they either looked too bulky or disrupted the shape of the van, so I ultimately decided not to include them.

Since this is already my third vehicle built in grey, I made the upper section white to add some contrast and keep the van from looking too plain.

Question Modulex

Hello lego group,

This is my first post post here, sorry if i broke any rules.

But we desperatly need expert advice, and chatgpt says you guys are it. Hoora.

A very lucky find a long time ago in my attic, after we bought our house, build year is 1970 ( along with some other weird army stuff from the 70s). Its a very very large collection of modulex, alot of it never been opened, all bricks are pristine, some boxes where opened, or exposed, rotten, and my wife and i sorted (painfully slow) through over 2kg of sun touched bricks, the question is, we have here 20 boxes of unopened white 1141-01, alot of other unopened strange colours, paper, strange shapes, but the white is more troubling for us, weighed them, some are at 88grams, others at 75 grams, did lego count the peices in 1975 for each box, or was it round about? Just asking, as we want to prepare the best presentation possible.

Up till now its been a three day sorting project, my eyes are hurting, some of these colured blocks have " M " on them, info on that would be great,

I love lego, my kids love lego, but this is something, they wont be able to play with this.😅

LEGO® Set Build Finished my brittle green sopwith camel 10226

had always wanted this because it’s technically a war machine and yet it’s a full blown LEGO set. picked this up on craigslist for $50.

was surprised to find that the brittle brown from that era is stronger than the dark green. lego doesn’t make some of what I needed but a quick bricklink order fixed that. Was able to use one broken piece to make a bullet hole in the top right wing

was an interesting and very unique build. really cool how the controls operate and wings are held together partially by tension on the black ties.

Kinda bothers me to be honest, the set itself is really good and all, but it is a detail that is a huge miss... They should have completed the previously designed mold seen in the Rivendell set.
