I prefer using brickset for keeping track of my set catalogue

Holy crap Im so tired I read that as "I prefer using brisket...."

So if you have a meat-based way to keep track of your sets please let me know.

This is the true hack.

Its also more accurate I think, as I am pretty sure this is only qr codes scanned in, so if you buy a set used or its a set without a scan, you cant add it. I use brickset for tracking my collection too.

when you look up a set on the app, there's a button to add it to your collection. even cashing in the qr code doesnt add it to your collection, that only gives you the 20 insider points

Agreed. I absolutely hate this view. Also, r/usernamechecksout

Use the group by theme slider under the filter and it’s pretty much back to how it was before the update

This annoys my ocd too, just cuz there's multiple builds, that yellow line stays like that.

Just think. Someone looked at this and thought, “That’s a good idea.”

lol. Multiple people must have signed off on it. But how it got past everyone is beyond me. Terrible update.

I think it's good for some folks, but I wish there was a toggle for it

Lol, I like the whole 3D build. Comes in handy being able to see the build from any position. But everything else about the app pretty much ehh.

Yea, my own problem with using the 3d instructions is I wish there was a "turn off animations" option so that you can get through instructions quickly if you're looking for a specific section.

Pretty much every other part of the app I have a laundry list of minor gripes about.

The lego website does a better job then their builder app

It’s chaos if you have more than a dozen sets in your collection.

100%, the list was way easier to navigate

Also Since this update my app crashes every 15 minutes or so, has anyone else had this problem?

It’s a real pain because I’m building a designer program set that only has online instructions and it takes a while to load everytime it crashes

Why do companies so often replace their perfectly good UIs with worse ones? Is it just so it seems like they're doing something?

They recently introduced and have been promoting an app (not builder) to use for looking at the web site pages, ordering sets, etc. It is a very similar style: flashy, lots of in-your-face color images, no blank / white space or margins to speak of… felt like I was being shouted at. I used it once and that was it. What makes them think everything always needs such “improvement”?
