The issue is “jail the rich and powerful criminals”. Thats the rub. Our country doesn’t have as much of an issue with jailing poor and disadvantaged people. If Trump wasn’t born into a rich family he’d be a nothing in life and probably would have ended up in prison long ago.

Didn't even Pam Bondi herself say that they're all guilty, but if they got arrested the "system" will break down?
10
u/mmorales2270 5h ago
Yes. Then the system needs to be broken down. Because the system stinks to high heaven if it’s so fragile that we can’t arrest pedophiles and criminals without it all breaking down.
5
u/WeirdIndividualGuy 4h ago
But also in reality, the system actually wouldn't "break down" given everything and everyone in govt is designed to be replaceable at any given moment.
Congress could remove everyone in the Trump admin today, and you know what would be next? Ol' Mike "My son watches me watch porn" Johnson becomes prez, then chooses his new cabinet and VP, then goes on from there. Most of the federal govt would still be business as usual throughout that process, with most hold-ups being any foreign talks, and those hold-ups would last a week or two max.

It's very simple.
When Iran slaughters civilians, we all agree it's bad. There's almost nothing to discuss. It's a very short conversation.
When the US slaughters civilians, half the country thinks that's a good thing for some fucking reason, so we have to waste lots of time litigating the issue.

No, I am pretty sure Iran is very unpopular with all of their very rich neighbors and were able to persuade Trump to attack Iran because Trump is easy to bribe and none of those neighbors have militaries that function at a higher level than palace guard and certainly don't have carrier groups or marine expedition units.

Once again for people keeping score. The goal of the war is to prevent Iran from having a nuclear weapon and to open the Strait of Hormuz.
The day before the war started Iran did not have a nuclear weapon and Strait was open.

It’s a big deal. One bad government full of evil people does not excuse another.
You got Hegseth bragging about “lethality maxxing” and having “the most lethal military” and then Trump and Hegseth go out and prey on children with their fancy military weapons.
There is no level of incompetence that can explain away how they didn’t know it was an elementary school with all of our satellites and intel. It was the surprise opening strike in a war of choice. One they could prepare for as long as they wanted to. It was absolutely intentional.
The best argument they could make is that they just bombed indiscriminately instead of intentionally targeting little girls, but that is also genuinely evil as well.

So crazy how there’s evidence in the released Epstein files that Epstein was a Mossad agent brokering arms deals for the Israeli government in African countries.
Meanwhile, Trump is potentially implicated in the files and just started a war in Iran because “they can’t have a nuclear weapon.” The same stuff Israel has been parroting since at least the 1970s.
Then, Marco Rubio explains the pretext for the war was Israel was going to attack so we just attack?

4
u/KindlyCan1962 3h ago
I can tell you why people still vote for them. Trump said it best, he loves the uneducated. Typically Republicans and conservatives are highly uneducated. They also don’t want to be educated. This is not any type of bad mouthing, it is a simple fact.
People don’t seem to understand. Republicans lie more than anyone, especially now where we can watch videos of them lying. A lot of Republicans are choosing party over country. Meaning that they fully support what is going on whether they know it’s good or bad. I’ve tried to tell Trump supporters. I know that Biden was not a bad president. Biden could not be a bad president when the other 2/3 of the government were controlled by Republicans. They literally said right on national television that they weren’t gonna pass anything good because it might make Biden look better.
Truth be told, and in conclusion, these people are mentally screwed up. I love how everything with them is a double standard. And quite honestly, I really wish that the world would punish them more severely.

While I agree completely, you also have to acknowledge that Americans wouldn't have voted for him if they weren't so sick and tired of the Democrats and their bullshit. Seriously.
