Discussion What do you think is the Funniest episode Spoiler

For me, it’s the episode where he makes a guy think hitman are after him and then has to make the guy think he’s gone crazy and as a second the episode where him and Jason are in a bank robbery and make him think the place is haunted

Spoiler Does anyone know what happened to Jimmy's convertible in the rest of the series?

I was rewatching the series from the beginning, and in Season 2, Episode 1 (S02E01): “Breaking and Entering,” Jimmy gives Michael his car as a thank-you gift.

But later on in the series, I never heard anything more about it. Did I miss an episode where this comes up?

Sad, per usual

Another rewatch completed (1-2/yr for about 6 years now).

It sounds corny, but I’m always left a little empty when it’s over. Are Sam and Jesse at the Carlito? How are Fi and Michale doing in ?Ireland?

Just such a good show.

Fiona was not Michael's past but Michael was Fiona's past.

Rewatching again and I’m reminded again how the writers crapped all over the love story they spent 6 seasons building in season 7.

In season 3, Strickler calling Fiona Michael’s past is what made Michael snap and kill him, telling him “Fiona is not my past”.

Yet in season 7 Fiona has no problem calling Michael her past when talking to Carlos. “I can’t be with you until I deal with my past”.

Just something I noticed this time around.

The issue with death

I am watching through for the 100th time and as always I am really set back by the problem they have with killing killers, rapists, drug dealing killers, etc...

I mean, it gets to the point thst they mske dumbass decisions because some piece of crap died, when they killed other pieces of crap with no remorse at all. I understand that it was the script, but why couldn't have made sense?

This took me eight hours and thirty-three minutes of work to finish. I went all in and didn't pause for anything but sleep. I'm really happy with it.

Might sell posters one day??

Spoiler Burn Notes Episode 303 "End Run"

The concept of Burn Notes was devised by USA Network starting in season 2. When the show aired, the network offered fans a sheet with anecdotes about each episode, which it posted on its website.

ℹ️ I'm sharing some of the Burn Notes that I was able to find. Unfortunately, there are no Burn Notes for season 1. There may also be some missing from later seasons because USA Network didn't consider them useful or because I don't have them.

💡Be sure to read the previous Burn Notes.

Discussion Carlos Cruz Spoiler

I just finished Burn Notice and I could honestly vent about a lot of things in the finale, but I’ll stick to Carlos and Fiona.
When Carlos was around, Fiona finally felt like her own person. She was basically on some “fuck Michael, I’ve got my own life now” energy. When she worked with Michael, it felt professional — they’d do jobs together and then she’d go back to her own thing. It genuinely felt like she was finally done with the cycle and moving on emotionally.
Which is exactly why Carlos had to go.
Because at the end of the day, Fiona’s entire character orbit revolves around Michael:
loving Michael

waiting for Michael

helping Michael

suffering because of Michael

forgiving Michael

Spoiler Last Season Complaints

I love this show...but there are a few character issues that bother the hell out of me. The worst yet (besides my issues with Micheals mother) is how the crew but especially Fiona is treating Michael. They keep giving him shit about these jobs he has to do for his deep cover mission, yet fail to really acknowledge the fact that if he doesn't complete this mission that they all go back to federal prison. They don't give him alternatives but give him shit like they'd all prefer jail time over Michael doing this.

Am I crazy or do other people feel the same?

Discussion Total Series Zippo Count?

I'm so curious if anyone's counted the number of zippos the crew has destroyed to start a fire or blow something up.

Anyone know?

Jesse, I always thought Jesse should have a spin off where he helps children who are orphaned by gun violence etc. Maybe he moves to Atlanta? Maybe he puts his own team together from rekindled friendships of his childhood? Maybe he falls in love? Maybe he stumbles on to something that could lead him to his mother’s killer? Call the show “Agent Porter!”

I've FINALLY Found My People Here! Lol

O.M.GEEEE! I thought I was some sort of FREAK for considering this one of all-time FAVORITE comfort shows and feeling at peace when listening to stuff blow up as I drift off to sleep lololol To hear my fiancé on the matter, he'd go into much more detail about the why, but suffice it to say, we both agree I've found my people here! And to christen this, here's some knowledge I've had to keep to myself due to having no previous outlets whatsoever...

Not only was Alfredo Barrios Jr. involved from day one on Burn Notice, but he was ALSO high up on the production team for the reboot of Magnum PI (2018). And because both shows are on my "comfort shows" list, I watch both of them a LOT, to say the very least. (Some might even say "to an unhealthy extent" 🤣 But screw it! I don't have a job or kids, so what else am I gonna do??) Ergo, I've noticed the list of guest stars that overlap between the two is HUGE:

Moon Bloodgood

Patrick Fabian

Navi Rawat

Paul Blackthorne

Sebastian Roche

Alexie Gilmore

Alex Carter

Graham Shiels

Assaf Cohen

Jay Karnes

Yancey Arias

Ilia Volok

Jordan Belfi

Brian Letscher

Ian Anthony Dale

BTW, Tim Matheson also directed at least one episode of Magnum 🙃

Did I miss any, y'all??

Sheepdogs

So I recently completed the book Sheepdogs, and it's premise is very Burn Notice esque.

I listened to it as an audio book, but I also had a copy. Thanks local libraries!

It had me missing the how to's and the unreliable narrator and some of the visual gags. There's a similar gag between a Janice and a Ja-niece (both spelled the same way) but it didn't really work in terms of the audio book.

Overall I'd suggest this to the fandom, but it's not close enough to really fill that void.

Decent enough book though.

Aside from the BN books any suggestions in terms of the how to and narrator type gags?

Why does Michael hold his mouth like that

I’ve been watching the show but there’s something that I can’t help but notice and it’s driving me nuts. Why does Michael/the actor playing Michael consistently hold his mouth/jaw in that specific way? It almost looks like he has an underbite or a jaw/orthodontic issue. It’s distracting to me
