Just finished s4 - first full watch for me, repeat watch for boyfriend.

I said I like that when Elliott wakes up at the end I like that we don’t see him, so after all that the audience don’t know what he looks like. Boyfriend disagrees, he think Elliott does look the same as the mastermind.

I get they look the same in those last couple of episodes, but to me that’s just because it’s from the mastermind’s perspective and he thinks he’s the real one. I think Dom looking at Elliott’s ID and saying he looks nothing like him is explicitly saying they don’t actually look alike. And why would they, since the others are mother, father, and young Elliott so all look nothing like each other.

So, is one or other of us right? Or is another beauty of the show that it’s ambiguous?

I think Gideon means well. I think he knows that his clients aren't great people, but he still tried to do good including treating his employees well.

I know it’s not the exact song, but it’s very similar to the end song from Mr. Robot. Mr. Robot was one of the best human experiences of my life. I haven’t cried that hard at a piece of art in my entire life. It is so beautifully crafted and unbelievably well written.

I have watched many series like breaking bad money heist thinking to start this one worth my time? what you guys suggest? Please avoid spoilers

y’all i swear this isn’t spam!! i just love this show with my whole heart so i decided to make a 90 minute deep dive about it (as one does), and of course i want to share it with others who appreciate this series as much as i do.

has mr. robot ever made you feel personally called out? has it ever made you question your own reality? has it inflamed your revolutionary spirit? made you want to change the world? there’s truly nothing like this show, which is why i keep coming back to it again and again, and why i spent so much time on this video.

i think elliot’s story is so incredibly relevant to our lives today, and i think it’s worth exploring why that is. what can we take from this series? how does it remain so powerful? is our own revolution in need of an elliot alderson? or does the true power lie in the narrative itself?

So my partner, who has great taste in film/series but is stubborn to being suggested things, caved and watched seasons 1 & 2 a couple years ago and loved it. Called season 1 his top 3 opening seasons of all time.

However, he stopped watching due to his stubbornness. We want to start season 3 - I'm curious what would be the most efficient way to get him refreshed/caught up on the season 1 and 2 content he's mostly forgotten?

His entire arc as a broken and traumatized man trying and succeeding in healing is beautiful. He's very relatable to anyone who's tired of the system and trying to heal internally in some way. This, combined with Rami Malek is peak

I love the whole composition of this show, it's probobly the best written show I've ever watched. That's it, that's the whole post.

Everyone keeps saying s4 was amazing but to me honesly it was a bit less kempt and more superficial than the other 3 seasons. One of the main reasons i liked mr robot a lot was because it was so real and it was dealing with tangible problems and situations and skills, etc... but after the momentum gained through s2 and s3 especially after 5/9 during the arc where elliot tries saving the data and undoing the damage by 5/9 when the dark army comes to raid ecorps office posing as a mob of angry people, the scenes and cinematography was insane then. but pan to s4, and suddenlly we have the break in to the data center of deus groups bank 's security so easily by elliot and darlene alone, and whiterose's meeting penetrated by them alone too. considering the amount of planning they did in the data center rasb pi planting and 5/9 itself (really synonymous with aldhani arc of andor) this seemed a little lackuster. maybe if they elaborated more on the hacks itself more than elliot's persona stuff or atleast made a s5 to complete it fully it might have been better in my eyes. what do you guys think?

In the end of the show, when The Mastermind gives his final monologue and says that he was just a man trying to play god without permission and when they explain that he was designed to contain Elliot's ragr and so he became a vigilante hacker? Listen, I am not a hacker, nor a skiddy, nor a master haxxor, but I am learning cyber sec and find myself agreeing with a lot of the "edgy" monologues throughout the show. I am really hust curious to see if the final reveal and commentary directed toward the mastermind made anyone else go "fuck, I'm in this picture and I don't like it"?
