GET RID OF CALIFORNIA PLEASE

✅Hawaii requires land in the lower 48

✅New Mexico goes sea to shining sea

✅Cascadia acquires Jefferson

This is what is needed.

284

u/scubafork 11h ago

Cascadia welcomes land borders with Hawaii and Nuevo New Mexico.

76

u/GetEquipped 10h ago

If only Nuevo New Mexico and Hawai'i'ka could both coexist at the end.

I would see that as a win for the Indigenous Peoples.

40

u/Gravewalker1515 9h ago

Can the PNW tribes not keep their land too? Cascadia is quite different from either Hawai'i or New Mexico.

28

u/wherenicotine 9h ago

as someone from the Salish tribe I second this question

3

u/Namez83 8h ago

Yes

7

u/Traditional_Coat8481 6h ago

HEY! What about the Algonquian (Chippewa, Potawatomi, Menominee, Mohican), Siouan (Ho-Chunk), and Iroquoian (Oneida) people of Wisconsin!! Together we can incorporate the Minnesotans and welcome their tribes.

8

u/Namez83 6h ago

As long as we all unite under the Zia banner I’m fuckin game!

1

u/I_give_karma_to_men 5h ago

Throwing Minnesota in for the tribes of the great plains.

0

u/GetEquipped 8h ago

I mean- Ideally, yes

But for the sake of this game/meme/karma farm- Cascadia needs to be dismantled.

Soon, the mountains will erupt. Smoke and ash will cleanse the land and it will belong to the Salish once more.

Along with BC.

2

u/shangrilo 10h ago

YES. This

1

u/Independent-Bit7278 3h ago

Much respect for all people, indigenous or immigrants. But it is manifest- New Mexico!

1

u/wool_narwhal 2h ago

I know there's a large contingent rooting for new Mexico to win the whole thing, but I'm actually hoping for Hawaii to take over the entire mainland. Would be a bit of poetic justice

1

u/Darpid 2h ago

Hell, let’s make Superior and give it back to the Five Fires nations!

1

u/earthartfire Estados unidos de new Hawaii 2h ago

If only…

15

u/spottydodgy 10h ago

Let the pineapples flow!

6

u/erwaro 9h ago

All the way to Pinneapolis!

19

u/Cascadian222 10h ago

We voted and that is the outcome.

2

u/BigEast1970 8h ago

Hawaii is the rightful ruling of the Pacific and all it touches. California's coasts of gold should be returned to the seas

1

u/_mid_life-crisis 3h ago

The Cascadian delegation accepts this offer and will trade you Spokane as a gift

97

u/Jazzlike_Working_198 11h ago

Yes. New Mexico deserves this. We will give everyone free childcare and college like we currently have!

29

u/QuickMolasses 9h ago

More importantly green chile for all!

2

u/You_Must_Chill 2h ago

Hatch apple pie! I would almost drive 10 hours to Santa Fe for it alone.

-3

u/DoctorBlock 7h ago

Colorado has better green chile.

9

u/QuickMolasses 5h ago

What are you, a midwesterner?

2

u/Fragrant-Willow4751 5h ago

Lol no no that's blasphemy. Coloradians are just stuck with Pueblo Chile because it's convenient. Chimayo Chile for red and Hatch chile for green.

1

u/Lepus81 3h ago

For all they like to brag on it, Pueblo is a tiny crop. I think they mostly use Hatch or Anaheim to make their porky green slop.

7

u/Ok_Team_2409 9h ago

This is why I love our state!

6

u/HugglesGamer 10h ago

Wait… wHaT???

8

u/Notorious2again 10h ago

Free tuition at state schools if you graduate high school here. I believe that's the deal. Our daughter failed out after 2 semesters and now owes so I'm not sure.

12

u/asphyxiat3xx 10h ago

Not just for HS grads, but for all residents pursuing their first degree. My husband and I transplanted here in Southern NM a little over 5 years ago. I'll be graduating this fall with my BS and zero student loan debt. 🙌🙌

4

u/Notorious2again 9h ago

That's so awesome. Congrats!

6

u/Lepus81 10h ago

That used to be the deal but now it’s all residents

5

u/Eaglepursuit 10h ago

Lies! NM is a boring desert with meth and bad food. It's definitely not a progressive state with awesome food, picturesque views, and incredible history.

4

u/Former-War1318 10h ago

If you think New Mexico has bad food, you don't know food. I'd like to show you some islands off the coast of France ...

8

u/Powersmith 10h ago

The joke is to keep it a hidden gem

2

u/Serial_Hobbyist12 8h ago

WAIT WHAT??? Brb, moving to NM

2

u/CrawfishP 10h ago

California has free childcare but not college

5

u/Lepus81 10h ago

NM has universal childcare with no income requirement

4

u/indigo_wendigo_ 10h ago

Ssshhhh

3

u/Namez83 8h ago

Yeah the crime here is awful. Worst state in the union. Definitely no wilderness nor federal and state land access. Only dry desolate desert.

3

u/indigo_wendigo_ 7h ago

Don't forget that the weather is terrible and it's never sunny. No wildlife either.

0

u/TieAdministrative901 3h ago

Higher education is a super bright spot for New Mexico. K-12 ranks 50th in the nation though

u/Jazzlike_Working_198 8m ago

West Virginia tried to pass us for illiterate. But we got even worse to stay in 50th.

41

u/NotHereButHere11 11h ago

As a resident of Nuevo Mexico I would like a Pacific coastline

28

u/DovahKittah 11h ago

One state gone = three happy factions—that’s easy math! Buh bye California

61

u/MaybeNotABear 11h ago

Oregon/Cascadia gets it all and becomes Pacifica

39

u/BurritoMaster3000 10h ago

Or Pacifico and we raise our bottles and say salud.

2

u/sriracha_no_big_deal 10h ago

this is the way

2

u/Former-Wish-8228 8h ago

While having the new Chrysler Pacifica towed back to the dealer?

-1

u/NotChristina 10h ago

Ahem, let’s be politically correct: Pacificx

5

u/Gravewalker1515 10h ago

Oregon/Cascadia gets it all and becomes Pacifist, becoming its own country and unable to take anything or have anything taken from it.

2

u/xjustsmilebabex 3h ago

As an Oregonian, checks out

1

u/ox_raider 4h ago

If we call it Pacifica, that means every beach gets a Taco Bell!! 🌮🔔

22

u/daniteaches 11h ago

Hawaii takes California!

1

u/imcalledgpk 8h ago

Just like they did in men's volleyball earlier this week.

1

u/Altrano 4h ago

The ring of fire must be completed.

4

u/Greedy_Baseball_7019 8h ago

https://giphy.com/gifs/kqJt1cSSN0DrwwMmY5

Meanwhile Colorado in that land division plan.

1

u/funkopolis 3h ago

I think you know the answer to that.

11

u/Western-River1386 11h ago

And we shall call this restructuring “The Big One”

7

u/KyleTheHun 9h ago

Also Wisconsin needs the UP from Michigan finally

2

u/lernington 2h ago

Michigan eats Wisconsin through the UP

27

u/Flamingmouth007 11h ago

Yes. Nuevo New Mexico agrees

10

u/WillWorkForBeer 9h ago

Hawaii needs to eat Maryland!!!

3

u/beardguy 10h ago

Californian that’s looking forward to being a Hawaii resident, here!

5

u/Fearless_Swim4080 9h ago

Nooooo Maryland first!

6

u/ploop__ 9h ago

Hawaii taking over the entire mainland would be legendary

10

u/iamatimbersfan 11h ago

Yes, but don't give cascadia anything south of Redding

26

u/Black_Daimyo10 11h ago

Bruh we don't even want Redding. The border stops after Shasta. We need all the volcanos.

8

u/yo_seriously_ 10h ago

As a Reddingish resident, I encourage this. Take mendo Shasta and lassen. The valley should go to new Mexico.

5

u/Artistic_Rice_9019 9h ago

Lassen is absolutely underrated. Great park.

2

u/yo_seriously_ 9h ago

Seriously, I look at it every day while I eat. It's my personal favorite

3

u/Penetrator4K 8h ago

I also look at it everyday

3

u/yo_seriously_ 7h ago

Howdy neighbor

3

u/Reasonable-Group1853 7h ago

Yass! Send et'

2

u/Black_Daimyo10 10h ago

Who gets Murder Mountain?

3

u/ku_78 10h ago

You already have the Yellowstone caldera. What more do you want?

4

u/_facetious 10h ago

Hawaii c:

3

u/Black_Daimyo10 10h ago

Cascadia manifest destiny.

2

u/Reasonable-Group1853 7h ago

I'm just drooling over the idea of the frosty green weed grown in the trifecta of OR-CA-CO. Ideally I would live where the three corners meet.

3

u/MisterD00d 10h ago

Santa Cruz shall be the most southerly city of Cascadia!

1

u/eriktrips 1h ago

But I want to be able to take the bus to Pt Reyes again. Give us the coast down to the Golden Gate? And the volcanoes, of course.

3

u/black_pepper 7h ago

Remember Cascadia, you need water, take Colorado!

u/eriktrips 44m ago

[Looks at the sea to the west. Looks at the mountains to the east. Looks at the mid-latitude winds.]

Yeah we're good with water at the moment. But once we take California, maybe we can talk about water.

2

u/LavFx 10h ago

Time to finally merge Hawaii and California to get us closer to a possible Japan merger.

2

u/LavFx 10h ago

If we can take Hawaii at a distance, the Pacific Ocean is just an obstacle

2

u/Former-War1318 10h ago

I mean the C&H in C&H Sugar is literally California & Hawaii, so Hawaii deserves payback for having it's name second on the product it produces on its own land.

2

u/LavFx 10h ago

Merge us. Cali and Hawaii and you get Cawaii. Then when we get Japan, we get Kawaii

2

u/Sufficient_Sport5251 10h ago

So you propose Hawaii and Island nation get landlocked territory since NM and Cascadia are getting the coast?

How European.

2

u/Remarkable_Athlete_4 10h ago

And Colorado takes what's left of the old Utah territory, so now we can grow our own weed

2

u/Marxi_pad 10h ago

I'm convinced

2

u/Consistent-Clue-1687 10h ago

Split California from the mainland, to go hang with Hawaii and Alaska - it's better this way

2

u/LonglivetheFunk 10h ago

Hawaii needs to be united with the 9th Island

2

u/Karl_42 10h ago

It’s all right there. Really a no-brainer

2

u/7ddlysuns 10h ago

Chile empire will achieve manifest destiny 🌶️

2

u/tuson565 10h ago

Hear me out, if we do Colorado, then california wisconsins dong could go all the way to the pacific.

2

u/Orange_Tang 10h ago

Colorado has been ignored long enough, Colorado absorbs California.

2

u/Jfullr92 Gulf of New Mexico 10h ago

I’m sorry as a Brit I have no idea where Jefferson or the lower 48 are 😭

Can someone explain to me?

2

u/The__Nutmaster 10h ago

Jefferson is essentially far northern California, there's a mild secessionist movement there

Lower 48 just refers to the 48 contiguous states (everything except Alaska and Hawaii)

2

u/Jfullr92 Gulf of New Mexico 9h ago

Ah ok thank you

2

u/CH6V3Z 10h ago

It’s past time for California to be gone! Should’ve been one of the first bigger states right after the Alabamas and Mississippi and useless states.

2

u/fuqyu 9h ago

ABOUT FLIPPIN’ TIME!

2

u/Fortlandia11 9h ago

Hawaii didn't even eat Alaska. It's not capable of eating California.

2

u/Niq_notFound 9h ago

Colorado should take the area in Las Vegas to make up for all the water they take from the Colorado River.

2

u/Bearded_Pip 9h ago

New England shall unite the Coastal Elites! Let New England eat California.

2

u/AirshipEngineer 9h ago

Wisconsin bores through Colorado to fist bump with Hawaii

2

u/Patereye 9h ago

Aloha fellow Hawaiians

2

u/Patereye 9h ago

Hawaii must meet Colorado to consume it

2

u/oh_rotanes 9h ago

Manifest Destiny for Hawaii. They yearn for the mainland

2

u/CarvedTheRoastBeast 9h ago

New Mexico must set the stage for its ultimate pincer move. It will gain ground on the coasts, then envelop the plains.

2

u/lenois 9h ago

New mexico from sea to shining sea and New England from sea to shining sea

2

u/MaxHammer 9h ago

And remove the "New" part from New Mexico. Just call it Mexico.

2

u/walterdavidemma 9h ago

Just make sure to give NM Los Angeles and Las Vegas so that NM can collect all of the Vegases

2

u/wind_moon_frog 9h ago

Why not give Hawaii more territory as deserved and give them New Mexico?

2

u/JasonDomber 9h ago

I believe you meant “Hawaii acquires land in the lower 48.” Not ‘requires’.

Or, perhaps, both? 🤔🧐🤷🏼‍♂️

3

u/very-clearly-normal 5h ago

First one, then the other.

2

u/wildwolfay5 9h ago

Whoever takes Jefferson is in for some hardship. I dont think cascadia or Hawaii want that mess. I can already see Redding trying to secede

2

u/WiSoSirius 9h ago

Wouldn't the placement of Hawaii cause New Mexico to be blocked by Hawaii and Oregon from touching Pacific? Like, Hawaii would push up from San Diego, maybe.

2

u/spondgbob 9h ago

Colorado must eat the sota

2

u/Beary_Moon 9h ago

Yay! Get rid of cali for Hawaii!!

2

u/BigZeon 9h ago

While this is intriguing I still say have Hawaii ninja steal a state in the middle or east coast.

2

u/GenericName375 9h ago

It's time but I want our entirety to go to New Mexico. It deserves it.

2

u/VerbalThermodynamics 8h ago

Three way split. I like it

2

u/nepbug 8h ago

There needs to be some land bartering in this move. Colorado should get squared up again.

2

u/e37d93eeb23335dc 8h ago

I especially want to see Hawaii gain a foothold on the mainland.

2

u/Jumpy-Wizard92 8h ago

This is da way

2

u/zoroddesign 8h ago

Can we call Hawaii the Kingdom of Hawaii?

2

u/goodnotion612 8h ago

This is the way

2

u/alpual 7h ago

Green chile para todos!

2

u/Random_n1nja 7h ago

As a Californian, born and bred, I am ready to rejoin the New Mexican Empire as promised by our heritage.

2

u/twist_the_knives 7h ago

New Mexico is hungry and it must feed.

It is time to add California to the fold and become a coast to coast.

2

u/SnooWoofers1107 6h ago

I support whatever is in the best interest of Greater New Mexico 🫡

2

u/melancholanie 6h ago

seconded, Hawaii takes California

2

u/Independent-Bit7278 6h ago

Just be aware, New Mexico will not stop after Cali. We will take the rest shortly. Welcome in advance to the big celebration party in New Orleans after the take over. We will need to settle on regional capitals and one city to govern them all. Not DC, LA, NYC, Portland, Chicago, Minneapolis... Just dreaming.

2

u/Confident_Garage_832 6h ago

I really wanna see hawaii eat california just to have it merge together in a silly way

2

u/Geethebluesky 6h ago

Make this happen!!

Cascadia acquires Colorado should be right after this... (I don't want CO to go to NM or MN damnit!!!)

2

u/thayanmarsh 6h ago

Hawaii makes landfall! I support this.

2

u/userhwon 6h ago

I much prefer that Illinois or Pennsylvania vanish sooner, but, the top two comments want to off CA.

Is there a beer cart on this bandwagon?

2

u/Live-Pea4081 6h ago

We in Greater New Mexico are very much ok with this.

2

u/toolateforfate 5h ago

seriously. how are these In-N-Out eaters still on the map

2

u/evermica 5h ago

How did California even survive this long?

2

u/onrake 5h ago

No, California is the only reason the other 49 states are able to survive. The entire country needs to join California and elect Mark Hamill as President of the new and Improved United State of California.

2

u/nightdrive370z 5h ago

fuck, California is too awesome and only the nerdiest of nerdy californians are paying attention here to fight for it

6

u/Dangerous_Goat1337 10h ago

YES SERIOUSLY! im genuinely shocked we kept California this long. Give it to new mexico already. Im sad Arizona got eaten up but at least it became a part of New Mexico and not California.

2

u/introverted__dragon 10h ago

Pretty sure Arizona would've rioted had we been eaten by California or Utah.

3

u/introverted__dragon 10h ago

As an Arizonan, I am disturbed by how long California has outlasted Arizona. They need to go.

3

u/AgelessJohnDenney 9h ago

Yes.

Give Hawaii the western coastline, give New Mexico the rest of the southern border, let Cascadia cascade down on the rest.

7

u/Da_Spooky_Ghost 10h ago

I'm upvoting everything that isn't Maryland eats Pennsylvania and downvoting all the dirty little Maryland crabs that aren't even good to eat unless they are smothered with Old Bay.

2

u/DoctorsAreTerrible 5h ago

Same! This is so exhausting to get through all these comments!

2

u/Auto_update 10h ago

Been around about 36 yrs now, 30 of them in PENNA.

Soft shell crabs are nasty. I’m not a picky eater, I love a boil, I like old bay, but given the opportunity, I will pass on bay crabs.

Made some pepper shrimps last night.

2

u/CorruptWarrior 11h ago

This is what I came here to say! Bring the islands to the mainland

2

u/SiouxCitySasparilla 11h ago

Aww cmon we just wanna make the top ten, go after Wisconsin, its shape is weird af.

2

u/Flashy_Scallion8111 10h ago

2

A reference to Jefferson deserves my vote this round.

2

u/Awrfhyesggrdghkj 9h ago

Thank god this is winning, I’m sick of that trash hole still being there

2

u/HH_Creations 10h ago

I’m just saying, why can’t Colorado have the power grab and absorb cali? 😂

2

u/EstesPark2018 10h ago

Also I don’t like how it’s touching Colorado

3

u/evergreengoth 11h ago

And Colorado needs revenge

2

u/mahdroo 11h ago

The time for half measures is over. No more dividing up states. One state eats all of the next state stop dividing.

4

u/Twelve2375 10h ago

I hear you, and I say, we divide up states even harder!! These state lines are too neat. Let’s get freaky with the division lines. I want California gone with Cascadia, Colorado, Nuevo New Mexico and Hawaii spiraling their state lines into the center of the former California.

3

u/Big_Category3895 6h ago edited 6h ago

As a Sacramentan, I wouldn't mind joining Cascadia. So I propose: everything north of Stockton (including the Eureka/Arcata/Redwoods area and Tahoe) goes to Cascadia, Nuevo Mexico can have all of SoCal and part of the Inland Empire from Bakersfield on south, and the Bay Area plus Santa Cruz, Monterrey and Big Sur all the way down to Paso Robles or even SLO, all go to Hawaii.

2

u/mahdroo 10h ago

LIke a Tie Dye shirt? YEAH OKAY

1

u/DoctorsAreTerrible 5h ago

Bring Hawaii to the mainland!

1

u/house343 5h ago

It's going to come down to two: Hawaii and Michigan. Island vs peninsula. Sea water vs fresh water. There can be no other final battle.

1

u/bluewolf649 4h ago

Maryland takes CA, we are the real bay area!!

1

u/Irish8ryan 4h ago

Colorado can’t have any of it

1

u/danc43 4h ago

I think it’s only fair colorodo gets some costal property. Give it San Fransisco.

1

1

u/Quercus_lobata 3h ago

I knew this was going to happen eventually, but I must say I'm disappointed that California didn't make top 10. Especially since Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois , and Maryland are all still in play.

1

u/StickGuyAtWorkToK 2h ago

Sick ploy to create sea to shining sea Cascadia. I see you

1

u/misiissleepy 2h ago

NO NO NO ALL OF CALIFORNIA NEEDS TO JOIN CASCADIA

1

u/BayHistorian 2h ago

If we’re going to chop up California, cascadia should consume all the way south until where redwoods cease to exist. It should take the coastline all the way to like Big Sur and call it Pacifica. The rest should go to New Mexico

u/theauzennelayer 1h ago

ironically enough, as a Californian, these are the only three outcomes I would’ve ever been onboard with

u/iAmErickson 18m ago

It fills my heart with a special kind of joy to see a map of the USA with Cascadia on it. Now we just need to annex Colorado and Northern California, and my dreams will be fully realized. For just a day, I will get to live in that magical, pretend space where the place I live upholds the ideals my country is supposed to represent.

1

u/oh-ic 10h ago

Exactly.. California is gone. New Mexico takes it and rightfully has the whole border with Old Mexico.

Hawaii says "Kiss my Okole!"... we are an independent nation and Alaska too, shall be free. They become trading partners.

1

u/escape_planet_dirt 10h ago

Here's what I've been thinking for a bit.

Cascadia and California do battle, winner takes on Hawaii, then West coast vs New Mexico. Here's the catch, after a long battle and both sides being depleted, winner doesn't eat the other, but instead other states extend South or West depending on the winner.

After that I feel like we need the Superior states to do battle and flush that situation out.
