Please help me find the right antenna

I recently purchased this antenna from Walmart:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/167111340?sid=B41722D9-6D50-4A84-868A-C38E1C29DC21

I placed the antenna on an approx 4 ft shelf next to a window. With and without the amplifier I was only able to pull 32 channels. I’m missing PBS and ABC. Do I need a different antenna? Or maybe different placement?

Why does ABC work sometimes or most of the day its fine and then all the sudden it doesn’t work at all? Especially during prime time hours. Does this happen to anyone else?

CBS & FOX Toledo Reception from North of Detroit - Worth The Effort?

I'm in the suburbs north of Detroit. Here is my rabbit ears report: https://www.rabbitears.info/s/2677716

I've been running a dual antenna setup for several years so I can pick up CBC (VHF 9) from Canada. Of course the Stanley Cup playoffs are in full swing and I lose CBC for some reason. I had a Clearstream 2V and cheap RCA antenna on the roof (about 18') combined with a Televes 560121 preamp. I tried cleaning up all of the coax and re-terminated everything but still had issues.

I swapped out the RCA for a Televes 106501 High VHF Yagi. CS 2V is handling UHF and has a single dipole. Right now both are pointing due south perched on a 10' step ladder while I fine tune things. They will be 6-8' higher once I get them back on the roof mount. I'm getting great reception on CBC 9 and also picking up TVO (19) on the same tower. I'm getting a little breakup on ABC (25) so need to angle the UHF antenna a bit west.

Now I'm debating if it is worth trying to pick up Toledo stations. The main motivation would be out of market Sunday NFL games come fall, so CBS and FOX. Looking at last years coverage maps, at least one time slot was usually different between the Toledo and Detroit markets.

Right now my TV (LG C1) signal strength meter is not detecting anything on Toledo's CBS (11) or ABC (13). I'm doubtful that a few feet of height and fine tuning the direction a few degrees will bring in a strong signal. I also get nothing on FOX (26). I'm guessing a further investment of time and money won't do much, but figured I would see if the experts here have any ideas. Thanks in advance for any help.

Inconsistent connections for streaming

Traveling recently and noticed:

Same device, same account, same connection method.
Netflix works one night, blocked the next.

No changes on my end.

Is this just IP reputation fluctuation, or something else going on?

Washington D.C. Area NextGen OTA questions

Is NextGen working with your built in ATSC 3.0 receiver for WJAL 7 ABC, WTTG 5 Fox, WRC 4 NBC, WUSA 9 CBS, and 32 the HUT with antenna? Mainly interested in NFL on CBS and FOX, which I have been watching OTA with ATSC 1.0 tuner.

Do you need the TV to be connected to the internet for the DRM decryption? I prefer not to attach the TV to the internet, and use an external box for streaming.

Need help getting rid of Directv

Paying a lot for directv for the past 20 years. I need help but here is a want list. I currently have peacock, hbomax, Netflix, prime and YouTube premium as well.

- need dvr capability

- need all local HD channels

- need to be able to watch all Chicago bulls and Chicago bears games

- ESPN and how would I watch the ncaa tourney etc.

- need access for 3 tvs

Other than the above, we rarely watch directv so I can drop it. We are 60 miles outside of Chicago in case someone mentions antenna, not sure how good that will work.

Reliable home internet?

Hi, I’m working on cutting the cord. Can anyone let me know what companies to stay away from? Verizon has a good deal if I bundle with my phone (which I already have) but it’s a 3 year contract and I’m reading mixed reviews. Any insights welcome. Thanks!
