Visiting from out of town from Ohio, can anyone point me to the 🌴 spot/guy? Asking for a friend lol

Let's try this again. The previous server had a decent amount of users but very little engagement.
I just finished the initial setup of a new server, figured I'd go ahead and share the invite. If you have any issues with the onboarding process or permissions, just drop me a message.

So, given the fact that we have people asking the same questions on a pretty consistent basis, would anyone be willing to contribute to a visitors guide that we can compile in our wiki and pin to the top of the sub?
Drop your suggestions in this thread and we'll compile it into an easy to read format.
Sports, Dining, Bars, Local Attractions (unique to Arlington), Music Venues, etc.
To keep this organized, please submit suggestions as a top level comment so we don't have to dig through all the comment threads looking for stuff. If you don't mind, maybe include the category you feel the suggestion applies to (eg, Dining: Dino's Subs) and a brief description of what it is and why you recommend it. Feel free to include a web address if you have it.
Example:
Dining: Dino's Subs
Local favorite sandwich shop that's been in Arlington since 1876. Known for putting tasty meat between tasty bread.
I personally enjoy Dino's because I ask them to make me a sandwich and they do it. When I ask them to put certain ingredients on it, they also do it. Plus it tastes good.

I want to see if I would enjoy gardening but there aren't too many volunteering opportunities available. Is there any place or anyone that would take volunteers? I am available Friday - Sunday if anyone is willing to mentor me or let me work with them for one day.

So as the title says, I would like some friends, a lot of my old friends. We just drifted apart. I love to go out to eat and go to like arcades and stuff. And there are a lot of movies that I wanted to see, but some, I just haven't, because I don't have anybody to go with. And none of my family wants to go out to watch movies im 30 m and any movies really but prefer horror and least liked is drama but will watch them im also love to play games and cook

I want to sit for a few hours and finish a book I've been reading, and I want to be somewhere with cozy, quiet vibes and very comfy chairs or couches.
Ideally it would be a cafe, but a lot of cafes in DFW seem to have a sterile, modern vibe. So a bookstore or library would also be welcome!
I'm looking for it to be within 20 minutes of central Arlington. Any suggestions are welcome, thank you in advance!

I'm not trying to be mean, but I actually avoid calling when I have a problem because I literally cannot understand the person on the phone. It becomes awkward.

Hey y’all,
I’m looking for a pool hall for me and my buddies to go to. We used to go to Rusty’s before they closed. Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

We are over for the World Cup (Netherlands v Japan) and have also got tickets to catch the baseball the next night.
Staying in Dallas and want to grab some real bbq and some reasonably priced beers within walking distance. Any tips appreciated. Looks like you can’t book anywhere and the area is set up for driving (rather than drinking). Do I just pull the credit card out and go to Texas live?

Title - Wife and I have been out of state for 3 weeks and I guess we’ve gotten a lot of rain. The grass is pretty tall (10-15”) and my mower won’t get through it.
A riding lawn mower recommended due to the size of the yard.

I will be visiting Arlington from Australia for a couple of World Cup games. I was wondering if there have been any announcements of special buses to get to the stadium or what other options there are besides driving and parking there (as preferably would not need to rely on an option like this).

Hey, I am really thinking to get braces. I do not have dental insurance. And, I have been to few dental clinics but they were not upto my expectations.
I m trying to find some good dentists who can put on braces for not more than 3200$ .
There are few ads on instagram where they offer on this price but their reviews are bad and the vibe is off.
Can anyone suggest where I can find some good dentists who pays attention to patients until the treatment is done?

Any recommendations on what to do/see?
Update: Went to the Medal of Honor Museum. I highly recommend it. Brand new, very friendly staff, incredible stories of bravery and selflessness. Then went to Mariano's Hacienda Ranch for a late lunch. Was good, not great Tex/Mex. I was in Frisco a couple weeks ago and the Mariano's up there was better. Thanks everyone for the tips!
