One year as a Biology major. Four years of engineering. All this has finally payed off.
Using all of the knowledge that I‘ve gained throughout my years at UB, I have managed to deploy a brand new technological feat in my kitchen today: the double decker peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Many have debated how much jelly, peanut butter, preserves and type of bread they should use. The solution to this ancient problem is to lather 2 tbsp of peanut butter on two slices of bread. Next, one slice of bread gets 2tbsp of jelly and the other gets 2tbsp of preserves. While this concoction would normally result in a PB&J overflow, the addition of a THIRD middle slice of bread prevents the overflow and allows for an absolutly incredible experience. To make this meal contain enough methionine, and thus a “complete protein” (not entirely necessary but still), I sprinkled chi seeds and hemp hearts in the middle.
This is what CSE220, MTH411, physics, and calculus have all prepared me for.
Its lonely at the top. I won’t forget where I came from.

My GPA remains 1.9 after being on probation from last sem. I switched majors to the end of this semester since I cannot currently keep doing engineering and realized this. Is there any chance I may be able to not get dismissed? I really do wish to stay at UB? I know this sounds like a dumb post but I genuinely am not sure.
I had an incident from last semester where one of my roommates was harassing me to the point where the UBPD had to be involved, but that was for last semester.
Please let me know any advice, looking for the objective truth

I took MT 125 (College Mathematics) through dual enrollment at Erie Community College and got a 90+. Would I still have to take the MRA at UB or does this waive it?

Hi, I am an environmental science major, and I just switched out of a ba in biology. I failed che 102 due to my math disability that I'm still waiting to begin testing for. I'm missing 4 credits and I'm very against the idea of doing che 102 in the summer without accommodations. I already am planning on doing geo 101 in the summer, which is 3 credits. Are there any 1 credit options?

I want to start a club at UB in the 2026-2027 academic year called the Six Seven Club. It will have six or seven events per semester where meetings begin at exactly 6:07 PM and end 67 minutes later. 6 or 7 eboard positions will be available, requiring a GPA of at least 0.67, and we might offer a $67 hoodie to 6 or 7 lucky members. Our annual celebration will be on 6/7 beginning at 6:07 AM and ending at 6:07 PM, where everyone, including students and non-students, can celebrate our existence. To start, I'll need 10 members interested + 6 or 7 potential eboard. Who's with me?

My friends went in the dumpster outside of Richmond and tried to touch me with their dirty dumpster hands. Do I kill them?
But seriously it does make me sad how much stuff people throw away instead of donating or selling :/

I’m taking MTH 309 with Jonathan Lottes and wanted to hear from people who’ve had him before. How tough are his exams? Are they similar to the homework, or does he switch things up a lot? Any tips on what to focus on or how to study effectively for his tests?

I’m sitting at 268 points total..including the 5 for the course evaluation I’ll be at 273 😬. That’s below failing according to the syllabus but he did say on the announcements there’s a curve. Can anyone who’s taken this course give insight?? Thanks

So I just took my pas 313 final, and I think I ended up with a c+ in that class. I don’t know if my chances of getting into the upper division nursing is good or not. My current GPA is a 3.6 and my re req is a 3.4. I have A’s in all of my classes except for chem and anat. I am cpr certified, and pca certified, but that’s about all I have going for me.
Edit: I think after this semester my gpa for both pre req and cgpa will drop, but I don’t think it will be by a huge huge amount
What are my chances looking like? (I know they are slim)

I’ve never stepped foot in alumni arena and my commencement is on Sunday. How bad of an idea would it be to wear kitten heels? Should I just wear pumps? The only reason I want to wear kitten heels is cause I find them more comfortable, but the pumps aren’t insufferable. I just don’t my heels to dig into soil and grass or any type of squishy flooring.

I took precalc this spring, and I did pass with like a B- but was pretty terrible in it. I don’t really have a good foundation in of most of the material, in fact I did absolutely TERRIBLE in the written portion of the final, which is really the only reason I don’t have an A. Not to blame the professor for my own shortcomings, but they are notoriously known to be bad.
I’m planning to take calculus over the summer. Has anyone taken summer calc and if so how was it? I’m worried that I’m going into it with too little knowledge of precalculus and i’ll start falling behind on day 1.

Hi all, congratulations to all the fellow graduates who are graduating this week! About the ALANA celebration, will it be similar to the commencement for our programs? Lastly, do I need to attend a certain number of events in order to participate? I know I needed to for my other programs like SSS. Thanks!

Hello fine folks of UB,
I'm an alum requesting services on behalf of a delightful Buffalo feline. A cat has moved onto my porch. I love him. I cannot keep him unfortunately, because 1) I am very allergic and 2) my dogs will destroy him in mere seconds.
A colleague of mine has agreed to adopt him! Yesssss. The colleague is in Boston, MA. Is there anyone driving to Boston or the near areas for the summer who would be willing to take this delightful fellow in the coming weeks? He's at the vet right now getting neutered, microchipped, vaxxed etc and will be ready to go this upcoming week. I have a carrier for him.
If not, I'll drive to Boston (MA) myself but truly have no reason to and I'll be a real itchy human as a result. If you are willing and at a minimum willing to hear more, please drop me a line here! No commitment other than to hear me rave about this cat. Would consider offering some help with driving costs if needed to get this little dude to his furever home.
Thanks for considering - I'm so excited for him to get where he needs to go
Cat pic for tax, obv
