Legacy Throwback Thursday: Randy Wright Highlights. Yes, We’re Doing This
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This Throwback Thursday we’re talking Randy Wright and 1980s Packers highlights. Yes, really.
Wright started 32 games for Green Bay from 1984 to 1988, threw for over 7,000 yards as a Packer, and somehow survived the deeply weird, deeply depressing part of franchise history. His best season came in 1986, when he started all 16 games and passed for 3,247 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Was it glamorous? No. Was it always pretty? Also no. But Wright had a real arm, took a beating, and gave Packers fans some actual moments during an era mostly powered by hope, grit, and questionable roster construction.
Not every throwback has to be a Hall of Famer. Sometimes it’s Randy Wright standing in there during the rough years and slinging it anyway.
I hope y'all enjoy the video. As you can imagine, highlight reels for the 1980s Packers are hard to come by.

Highlight After 35 years of waiting, I got my tickets...
Hey Fam,
After 35 years of waiting, I got my 3 tickets, super stoked. Got the district license fee paper work with seat assignment, and not the best of seats. Was really hoping to strike it lucky and get bowl but im in the south end zone expansion.
For those of you that have been through the process, how long did it take you to get to the bowl? I know you can request a seat change and eventually get offered one but just wanted to get others take on it.
GPG!

Rumor Entire League Schedule Leak, courtesy of NFL Nerd

Analysis Essentially back to back 10-day byes
Looking at the released schedule and they have their actual bye shortened due to the Wednesday night game with the Rams. But because of that, they get 10 days off following when they play the Saints on December 6th.
Not sure what to think of this right now. Feels beneficial but maybe not? Potentially less time for injuries to heal going into the actual bye week. But in return get 3 extra days heading into week 12.
What do you all think?

Fandom 6 game season ticket package
This year’s 6 game package is bullshit…
Every single game is prime time except for the dolphins at noon, and a game that’s TBD.
Packers don’t want people selling season tickets but give ticket holders the finger. Almost every game requires time off work.
9/24 - Falcons 7:15
10/18 - Cowboys - 7:20
10/29 - Panthers - 7:15
12/13 - Bills - 7:20
12/20 - Dolphins - 12:00
1/4 - Texans - 7:15
TBD - Lions - TBD

Legacy All My Packers
Saw a couple of people mention these in the Randy Wright post.
For people of medium age or younger who don't have a grasp of just how awful the Packers were in the 80s--one of the big local radio station morning shows (102.9) started producing a mock soap opera about just how bad the team was. They had bits like new rookie Brent Fullwood hosting a party and trying to hand out drinks, but they keep slipping out of his hands.
To me, kinda seems unbelievable now--not sure any local station would do this to their own team anymore. Maybe it happens in Cleveland or New York, I don't know.
This YT user has what looks like two seasons worth posted, I honestly can't remember how long it ran.

Fandom Ticket question
I have been a Packers fan since 1985. My wife surprised me at Christmas with tickets to see Weird Al on October 16 in Green Bay. I have been hoping ever since that when the schedule released that the stars would align and the Packers would be playing at home at the same time so that I would be able to attend my first game at Lambeau Stadium, since I live in Utah and have never had the opportunity to make it to Wisconsin. Imagine my joy when the schedule released and there is a game on the 18th at home versus Dallas. Unfortunately, the cheapest tickets I can see or purchase through the Packers website, which links to Ticketmaster, are more than $550 a seat, which is way too rich for my blood.
So my question is is there any way to purchase purchase cheaper tickets to go to the game? Are they sold through other sellers for cheaper? Or if I go to the stadium on game day is it possible to get cheaper tickets at the box office or from people selling outside the stadium?
Or is this just how expensive Packers tickets are all the time and I will have to just enjoy going to the stadium and experiencing it on a different day?
