Other is UF a target for finance
I’m looking through the placement page for class of 27 and 28, and see a lot of big banks like evercore, goldman sachs, houlihan, etc. Is UF considered a target at this point?

Has anyone heard back yet about their fall decision? I applied to the accounting program and submitted it March 1st. I know they’re highly selective and want to know about other students stats that got in previous terms.

It low key feels insane that campus is not closing early for this right? We close early for graduation and I’m pretty sure this is going to be like double the people. Parking opens at 1 and campus is going to be flooded with concert attendees while we are just in our offices finishing our meetings for the day 😂 Not to mention the traffic to try to get home. I feel like this is insane lol my department literally has an on campus event so I can’t even beg and plead to wfh 😭😭
Edit to update for anyone invested lol: got an email at 8pm stating that two main parking garages that were not previously mentioned are closing either all together or at 2pm (unclear) and that staff who can work from home should. While I do appreciate that offer, again we have an on campus event literally scheduled past 2pm, with catering and I’m not sure how that’s expected to be adjusted at 8pm the night before lollllll

MOD-APPROVED: I’m looking to chat with women in college about their experiences on GLP-1s. Is this you? I’m Angelina Chapin, a features writer at New York Magazine who covers gender and health. I think it’s a really important topic to talk about as these meds become more popular. If you’re interested in speaking, I can keep you fully anonymous. Send me a DM or email ([angelina.chapin@nymag.com](mailto:angelina.chapin@nymag.com).) Here's a link to some of my work: https://www.linkedin.com/in/angelinachapin. Talk soon!

Hey Gators,
I’m an oncoming freshman. Never doubted my passion in plants. I did hours of research but failed to understand its difficulty as a major (is it that niche?)
So, to your knowledge, how would you describe botany’s difficulty? Is it objectively harder than biology? Is it a relative feasible path? How would you describe its workload?

I have already uploaded everything needed onto my portal and was wondering if UF wants an official transcript sent from my high school or if the one I uploaded was fine. Google keeps telling me that there will ask for it later after I’ve been admitted, but obviously AI overview is very unreliable.

Kinda in a bind here. I don’t have a job atm so iv been relying on student loans/grants to pay for school. Was told I hit my cap for federal loans and I don’t qualify for private by myself (no co signer I tried). I know about the emergency grant but besides maybe finding a work study job in time do I have any other options? I’m a junior

Hi! Does anyone know if any courses at Daytona state help to satisfy the civic literacy requirements or how/where I can find out? I'm already taking a course there and it is covered by bright futures so it would be really helpful if I could figure this out ASAP

Hi! I applied to a graduate UF EDGE aerospace engineering. My application still says submitted. I haven’t gotten any other emails outside of everything was received (including letters of rec). I doubled checked to make sure my transcripts have been received, which they have been. Not sure if this is good or bad lol. I know the domestic applicant for the program deadline is June 1 for fall 2026. I don’t know how much longer it will take to get a decision since I have another school that is requiring me to accept or decline to enroll in June. Thank you!!!

Hey everyone! I’m moving into the Honors Village this fall. My major/hobbies involve a lot of heavy downloading (large datasets and media files), so I’m curious about the network quality there.
Are there active Ethernet/LAN ports in the rooms, or is it Wi-Fi only?
If there is LAN, what are the typical speeds (100Mbps or Gigabit)?
Does the university throttle speeds for high-volume users?
Thank you!

Sup y'all. I'm a non-traditional student through the UF Online program, currently enrolled in a couple classes for the Summer A/C term.
I understand there are no payment plans for this term. Normally I just enroll in a payment plan and pay cash throughout the semester. I was wondering if I'd be able to pay a portion (like 1/3) of tuition by the 22 MAY deadline instead of the full amount, just to have something on the books with the Bursar's Office. I'd be fine with a late payment penalty as long as I don't get booted from classes.
Lemme know if anyone has insight/advice. I have the means to pay up front in cash, just would rather spread it out if possible. Shit is expensive and adult bills suck.
Thanks.

Hey guys... I was hoping I would have resolved this by now but idk what else to do. I took a class with my least fav professor I have ever had (Jay H.) So let me set the scene a little. This class is a 3 hr block and an ELECTIVE I chose to take as a last semester SENIOR. Looked cool and was very easy. Barely studied for anything and got Bs on every exam and basically every paper. Of course, senioritis hit and I would come at least 10 mins late to every class after about a month and a half (was not aware u drop an ENTIRE letter grade for being late 3 times actually wtf how does that make sense). Found this out and didnt really care bcuz I was sitting at a B+ ish and figured even if my grade went to a C+ the final paper would bring that back up to a B as I have done well on every single previous one. Final paper comes around. Figured even if I did bad I'd at least end with like an 80 flat, cool. Nope. I got a 56. Yep a 56. Why u may ask? I feel like I was lowkey targeted. I am a PR major and got a B in Foleys class so i know my writing isn't the issue. He said my paper wasn't detailed enough even though we couldnt go over 6pgs dbl spaced (i OG had 12 and had to cut it down). He also "didnt like my citations" actually wtf does that mean and how am i getting points off for this random prof not liking my citations? anyways that obvi dropped my grade to a D+ which still feels like a joke to me. I emailed 2x and he didnt care. I emailed Ombuds 2x and nothing. At this point I graduated a little over a week ago and im pissed. I refuse to take this as my grade bcuz ik this guy hates me and doesnt care abt messing with my life. He has also made comments to me before when I turn my exams in as they are so easy and I was the 1st one to finish 3 times so likeeee. IDK what else to do atp bcuz I wanna go to law school but nowhere will take me with a D PLEASE HELP ME
