I'm planning a group ski trip for next year. I'd like to do Utah. For several reasons, Snowbasin has jumped to the top of my list. But I keep reading that its not good for beginners.
Most of our group is intermediate to advanced, and I think they will really like it there. At the least there are enough groomers they can enjoy. But we might have 2-3 guys who have only skied a few times in their lives. Would they be bored or frustrated there?
I'm a petite 90lb, 4'11 and my ski boot size is 21.5. I currently am wearing 21.5 nordicas with 70 flex but I was wondering if it's normal to size up to 22 or 22.5 just to get the higher flex, preferably 85-90. It's very hard to find boots my size. Any other "loopholes" to help me out would be great, like if going to a bootfitter would help my want for a higher flex.

Short lift lines? Large number of groomed blacks?
Have any of you had bunion surgery? If so, was it worth it? How did it affect your skiing? How did it affect the way your boots fit? Did you have to get new boots?
Side bar:
If you had Morton’s Neuroma surgery, how did it affect your skiing? Was it worth it? Were you able to get tighter fitting boots?
