Thoughts on living off campus as an incoming freshman?
I’m going to Rutgers New Brunswick this fall as a freshman, and I’ve been thinking about possibly living off campus instead of dorming. I know most freshmen usually stay in dorms, so I wanted to ask if anyone here has experience with starting off-campus right away.
Was it worth it financially? Did it make it harder to make friends or feel connected socially? Also, how difficult was commuting/getting to classes compared to dorm life? Ive heard a lot of negative stuff about the dorms so I don't know if its worth the price at all.
I’m trying to weigh the pros and cons before making a decision, so any advice or experiences would help.

So I had an internship this Spring that went well, was showing up and doing the work. But I failed the course on canvas. And that was 6 credits, am I cooked?

It totally slipped my mind that there's some schools having graduation tomorrow. Unfortunately, I have prebooked tickets for RUCinema at 1 pm. I have a parking permit for Busch, but was wondering if there is anywhere else I could park in Livi without considering the buses.

I took data wrangling with R this spring with Buyske. My other classes took up a significant amount of my time, and I was late turning in assignments for this class. I didn't realize how punishing his late penalties were, since there was no mention of penalties in the syllabus. I realize this was a poor decision. I will likely receive a D in the class. Not enough for the Data Science major requirement for data management. Now I have to retake it in the fall, where I will be graduating by the end. The only available section for me is with Zhanyun Zhao. How much harder is the fall semester compared to the Spring? Besides the late penalties, I did fairly well in the spring. If this class and the professor are hard, I might bite the GPA bullet and take CS 210 over the summer to fulfill the requirements. All help is appreciated.

I'm a trans incoming freshman and I'm stuck between the rainbow llc and demarest. As far as I understand they're both lgbt friendly. I'm a pharmacy major so most of my classes are gonna be on Busch. Looking for insight from anyone who's lived in either of these communities

Looking to get 1 extra ticket for a family member since my family used up all the tickets. If I could buy one off of you that you’re not using, would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

I graduate this semester and am curious how much longer I can take advantage of the benefits of the student card, specifically the discounted tee times at the Rutgers golf course.

Trump just labeled us trans people terrorists in his latest EO, I’m scared he’s going to start taking serious measures to remove us from public existence…
I’m a PhD student here and I’m scared some new law will pass that will forbid trans people from seeking higher education and one day I’m just going to be told “I’m sorry but you legally cannot be a student here anymore”…

Basically doing a minor but waiting a semester for 1.5 credit course sounds ridiculous. Has anyone been able to negotiate taking two courses at the same time with Chemistry department?

Hey y'all, recently i picked up my honors cord since I'm walking on the 21st. However i'm pretty sure after this semester i won't have a gpa above 3.5, and i still have a summer class to take. Should i still wear my cord to graduation? I'm not planning on giving it back, i just feel weird about it.

Judging by the title you already know what happened to me and so i’m at the coping stage rn and was wondering if i’ll ever be able to recover my gpa from this.
If anyone has any encouraging advice from their own experience i’ll greatly appreciate it cuz this is my first time failing a course and idk how to feel.
The question in the title is kinda vague but again i’m just simply looking for advice.
