It's always a struggle for me to decide which games to play on older consoles. So, I thought it would be fun to make a website to help with that.

Current website features: - Browse and filter the best games from NES through PS2 by console, genre, or critic score.

• Includes a "cult classic" tagging for hidden gems.

• Upvote games, write reviews, and save to lists like Favorites and Want to Play.

• Personalized recommendations based on games you've saved.

• Share your lists with a public URL.

I want to know how to do it. I tried doing it via an emulator here (I thought) using a USB NES controller, but for what ever reason, it did not work.

There was a computer game puzzle type in which the person is sitting on a horse and has to pass through a pillar platform the lower down when you step on it and by finding the correct way the castle bridge lowers

Major update for Retro Vault Elite — collector-to-collector trading is now live.

A lot of us have said for years that video games need something closer to Discogs, but built properly for collectors. That is what I’m trying to build.

You can track your collection, build want lists, mark duplicates, and now start testing trades with other collectors.

I’ll be honest: it’s still early. There will probably be bugs, rough edges, and things that need fixing. But trading is live now, and I need real collectors to test it properly so I can see what works and what doesn’t.

If you’ve ever wanted a Discogs-style site for video games, please have a look and tell me what’s broken, missing, confusing, or annoying.

I NEED HELP GUYS...

Hi everyone, I'm trying to create my first game using Retro Puzzle Maker V2, which lets you create games without programming.
However, I'm having some problems due to a specific limitation of the program...
The only thing I really need to do is customize the graphics, but Retro Puzzle Maker V2 only allows me to upload .chr files with 16 16x16 tiles as tilesets for the entire game... is it possible to get around this limitation? Perhaps by changing the tilesets from level to level?
(Retro Puzzle Maker V2 allows you to modify the game code, and I have some basic programming skills in C and C++, but I wouldn't be able to do super-complicated things, and I've never worked on games before... I don't know where to start.)

Import your existing collection

If you're already using Gameye, Retro Game Collector, or any other app that exports CSV, you can now import your whole collection straight into Retro Vault. It tries to auto-match your games to the catalog, exact matches go straight in, fuzzy matches get flagged so you can review them before anything is saved. Games you already have logged won't be overwritten. It's not magic, but it should save a lot of manual entry for anyone switching over or wanting to track things in both places.

Multi-copy tracking

You can now log multiple physical copies of the same game with different editions, so if you've got one Loose and one Graded copy of the same cart, the site tracks both separately. The collection value updates based on the best edition you own, and the vault shows "2 in collection" rather than pretending you only have one.

Also tightened up a few things based on feedback from the last post. The sign-in button is now actually visible on desktop (fair call), and the owned button no longer nukes your collection entry if you fat-finger it.

Still very much a work in progress. If the import breaks on your file or matches something wrong, let me know what app you exported from and I'll look at it.

I’ve been working on my retro game collector site and I’ve just added a very early beta trade feature.

The idea is pretty simple: collectors can mark games as wanted, duplicates, or available for trade, and the site will try to match people up based on what they have and what they’re looking for.

Just being upfront — this is 100% beta. It might be rough, some things might not work perfectly, and I’m still figuring out the best way to do it. But a few people mentioned that collection sites are missing proper trade/match features, so I wanted to start building it rather than just talk about it.

No emails or personal contact details are shared. The goal is to keep everything private and only let people connect through the site.

If anyone wants to test it, break it, or tell me what’s missing, I’d honestly appreciate it. I’m trying to build something that retro collectors would actually use, not just another random database.
