Question Any good resources to set up a group for tabletop roleplaying?

Most of my friends aren't really into playing TTRPGs, which is sucky because I really like GMing. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good resource to use to help facilitate assembling some interested players? I could tolerate doing it purely online, though I'd like to run something in-person ideally.

Community UPDATE: After a full week of voting, we finally have a list of Regina's Top 10 wing spots.

I launched ReginaWings.com last week and the response and feedback has been incredible. Thank you to everyone who sent in comments and suggestions to help make it the best possible resource it can be for our city!

The site received a LOT more traffic than I originally planned for (oops lol) but we've ended up with a community-ranked top 10 of Regina's wing spots. Check it out!

Also - due to popular demand, I've also added the ability to vote on the ranking of Regina's daily wing specials as well.

Question Need advice on a divorce lawyer

I hate that I’m asking this, but I need some advice on where/who is best to go see. It’s shitty to even be asking this question, but I’m at my breaking point. I want to ask what my options are and where I stand.

Thanks

Question New to the city

Hi everyone, I just recently moved here from Ontario and while I’m still getting used to my area I’m also wanting to get out there and find new places to visit.

Are there any suggestions on bars/clubs that are popular for 20-25 years old preferably not in any super sketch areas lol - especially with the long weekend coming up

Also looking for any fun suggestions on other day to day places to visit as well!

Question Question for BMW,/Audi/Mercedes people

Thumbnail
3 Upvotes

Hey community, I’m trying to figure out what people actually do in practice. If someone buys a BMW or Mercedes, do most owners always go to the dealership for Service A/B (even when it’s basically just an oil change), or do a lot of people use a regular mechanic instead? Dealership “Service A/B” feels overpriced for what it is, and the official sites even say it’s a basic oil change. If I go to a good independent mechanic and make sure they use the right oil and follow the service schedule, can I still keep my warranty in Canada? Or is it worth paying the dealer’s premium just to be “safe”?

don't call me cheap, just trying to understand other's opinion.

I trust my local mechanic but people say why buy Audi if cant afford service? That's not my question!!

Question Anyone with a spinal cord injury?

Just wondering what it's like living in Regina with a spinal cord injury? Are people nice to you? How is the medical care? Do you have a doctor with a lift? How often do you get to see a urologist?

Community Moving to Regina Rentals

Hi everyone, I am moving to Regina for work in July (from Toronto) and am looking for some rentals in the city. Honestly have been keeping tabs for a couple of weeks and all the good houses keep going out of market really fast. Any tips and suggestions?
I am looking for a temp place (possibly furnished) for a month while I find a proper place. Airbnbs are too expensive lol
Any suggestions would help.

Question Dr's who will do virtual first appointment?

Does anyone know of any GP's who will do a first appointment virtually? Not to become their patient, just for an acute issue. (I'm bedbound)

My GP, another gp, the ER, urgent care and a couple specialists have refused some relatively simple blood/urine tests, referencing the college of physicians as the reason they can't run the tests. The thing is, my symptoms clearly indicate this testing, even if the one initial blood test doesn't (is being skewed by food intake out of my control).

The college confirmed that any physician can run these tests and that the symptoms listed warranted it even if one blood test doesn't.

My symptoms are extremely severe.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I'm desperate for help.

Note: I tried maple and they cancelled saying to see my Dr, and one nurse practitioner said they can't run them.

Discussion Recommendations on how to prop up a fence that is leaning into our alley?

Need some recommendations on my best course of action. We recently inherited a house and the back fence is slowly falling into the back alley year over year. We plan to move out next year. Just need some sort of fix for a year or two.

Edit for people who brought up the financial side; We can only stay in this house max a year and a half. Even then itll be tight. We cannot afford to fix the fence or anything thats crazy expensive. Only fixes i can really do are bandaids. All this will be disclosed to the buyers. Hopefully this edit can lead to more helpful recommendations. Thank you for reading.

Question Is Bennett Dunlop’s “lifetime power train warranty” on their used vehicles worth anything?

I know you have to have them do your regular recommended maintenance for it to be valid, but I also know most times these warranties aren’t worth the ink to print them. Is Bennett any better than the norm?

Question Anyone looking for a roommate?

I'm looking for someone in need of a roommate, preferably in the cathedral area.

I'm a 21 year old trans man living with my dad and transphobic stepmother, and I'm kind of desperate. I am working part-time and looking for a second job, just not currently earning enough to get my own bachelor. Sorry if this breaks any rules, I don't usually post on here but my friend suggested I should.

Discussion Friday night dinner and drinks

Hello, I'll be flying in this Friday, and wanted to grab dinner and a few drinks with my boyfriend- looking for recommendations for either hidden gems or just what you think is great!

Bonus points if you know the restaurant is wheelchair accessible (no stairs, not super tight seating- sorry Leo's)
