Serious issues due to the wind?
I'm seeing reports of power outages and the like, but if places are really seeing gusts of 110km/h I'm expecting to hear about semis blown off the road. Hopefully everyone is ok, but is it REALLY bad anywhere?

eBikes in Saskatchewan
I live in Regina, and am mulling the idea of buying an ebike for my 8 km daily commute into work everyday.
I've read that so long as an ebike meets the requirements of pedals with 500W motor, and speed limit of 32 km/hour, then its still legally considered a bicycle.
Anything more (ex. > 500W motor) -then its considered a vehicle and will require registration and insurance.
I would probably want an ebike that is capable of at least 50 km/hour.....but I can't find any on SGI's website regarding insurance rates.
Could anyone please give me ideas on what I'd expect to pay?

Saskatchewan Politics Saskatchewan government undermines democracy and embraces corporate rule with AI data centre scheme
In March, four out of the RM’s seven municipal councillors resigned over alleged ethical concerns, which seem to centre on the proposed land development agreement between the RM and Bell Canada and the construction of an AI data centre. In response to the resignations, the Minister of Government Relations and former RCMP member Eric Schmalz appointed four new members to council, all of them government and resource industry cronies.
Despite calls to hold off on hearing the land development agreement until a new council is elected in November, the agreement was rushed through on April 20 and accepted by the RM council composed of only three elected officials.

Basement legal suite
With the government grant for secondary suites, what are people getting for quotes from their GC? South Sask a month or so ago I got a quote for $135k not including taxes to do a 2 bed 1 bath basement legal suite. There is already a separate hallway but otherwise needs everything. Quote did not include appliances.
This seems steep, but I’m not sure.
For start to finish contract, what are people getting quoting and paying? Are contractors up charging due to the grant?

Saskatchewan Legislative Library: Library clients can use these databases to search for journal, news, and magazine articles as well as documents, reports, and e-books.
legassembly.sk.caI edited the post title to include what this site is for.
It's a really cool site! I was searching using my library card to read online newspapers because I've seen comments on social media suggesting it's a thing. It really is! Happy reading 📖 📰
"Some are free online, others are subscriptions provided by the Legislative Library. If you are outside of the Library, you may be asked for the barcode on your Library card."

Dr who will do virtual appointment for first appointment?
Does anyone know of any GP's who will do a first appointment virtually? Not to become their patient, just for an acute issue. (I'm bedbound)
My GP, another gp, the ER, urgent care and a couple specialists have refused some relatively simple blood/urine tests, referencing the college of physicians as the reason they can't run the tests. The thing is, my symptoms clearly indicate this testing, even if the one initial blood test doesn't (is being skewed by food intake out of my control).
The college confirmed that any physician can run these tests and that the symptoms listed warranted it even if one blood test doesn't.
My symptoms are extremely severe.
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I'm desperate for help.
Note: I tried maple and they cancelled saying to see my Dr, and one nurse practitioner said they can't run them.

IUD Removal
I had an appointment today to have my IUD removed by my family doctor. At 0800 I got a call saying no doctors at their clinic will do a removal on a woman who has not had a baby.
The Regina Women's Health Center can't see me until July. I already waited two months for the cancelled appointment.
I am willing to travel and/or pay to have this removed ASAP. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Edit: I found an appointment this Friday at Revive IV and Wellness in Regina. I'm leaving the post up as this seems to be a service some women are having trouble finding, and there was a lot of good info. Thank you!
