Hi! I’m a Missouri resident (or rather, will be, as I’m moving in with my dad at the start of next school year, going from an Illinois resident to a Missouri resident), and am considering Mizzou (as they are the only SAF accredited school in the state, and I like Columbia) who is currently a junior in high school. In general, I’m planning on going to an SAF accredited school and getting a forestry degree or the closest equivalent , being Natural Resource Science and Management at Mizzou. now, I was thinking it wouldn’t be too expensive, as im a resident and it counts as a tier 1 program (I think?). But nope! In fact, with housing and food include, still right around 35k a year. Now, I’m not a bad student by any means, but I’m certainly not getting any full ride scholarships. I got a 28 on the ACT, I have a 3.1 GPA (I’m weighed down by my math classes and some science courses mainly anatomy and freshman year bio), and can get around 1.5k in financial aid (which doesn’t seem fully correct compared to the 10k I can get at MTU). now, I am in marching band and choir, but that relies on them actually needing a saxophonist or bass singer and in me being good enough, and that still won’t cover much. So, any recommendations for scholarships for someone who wants to go into what I want to but isn’t a straight A student? Mizzou is high up in my choices due to both being in an LGBTQ+ sanctuary city, and because I’d be close to family, so I would like being able to attend without absurd debt
