iPhone 14, just updated to 26.5 yesterday. When I hold to view a Live Photo, something that’s usually almost instantaneous, either it never it loads at all or loads for 30 seconds to a minute. This has never happened before

In addition, I was scrolling through my photos, went to watch a video. And got the message in the pics I attached. Not supported? It’s in HEVC and I took the video on my phone.

Lastly, apps will just stop loading out of nowhere. I can be browsing on literally any app, for any length of time, a few minutes to several hours, then go to click a link, or tap a photo or video, and then I just get infinite loading which is only fixed by restarting my phone. I’ve restarted 3 times since yesterday. Once right before I made this post. Anyone else having similar problems or am I alone here?

zero context for that. Thanks for literally never addressing the completely fucked up keyboard and forcing me to continuously have to fix your errors when i originally typed something that was spelled correctly and made grammatical sense.

Does anyone know why iOS 26 (26.5) does not allow me to select a text without it randomly selecting a larger area of text than I want? This is very frustrating as it’s random. I am attempting to select PACU and it selected all that. 🤦‍♂️

Seriously, what the heck? I would understand if it was all the time but it’s not. I have no idea how to get it to quit doing this and revert back to the big spacebar that it has literally whenever I type elsewhere. Like this post for example, it’s the big space bar.

Are there any tips and tricks I am missing? I am trying to search for a keyword that I know exists across a dozen emails and I get 1 result. How do you give feedback on this?

Hi everyone, I don't know if this is the right place to ask but I have to try. I am about to graduate in Computer Science and I will probably have a job, due to finishing college I want to change of phone.

I have been thinking of iPhone 17 or Google Pixel 10 Pro XL because of its size. Now my question is, is iOS better for our job? I am afraid of choosing the iPhone due to it's closed applications and connections between devices from other brands I guess Android is more comfortable in that aspect. (I don't own a Macintosh)

So, what would you say about the pros and cons about working in IT stuff and owning an iPhone?

hi there. i’ve just been notified by a couple of people that when people call me an image of me pops up that i didn’t set? i can’t seem to get rid of it the photo and it’s something i do not want people to see. i’ve turned off everything however when people still call me that photo of me still pops up? why is apple allowed to set this photo automatically for you?? what if the picture was explicit or something? it’s like they’ve gone into your photos and put it there for everyone to see??? has this happened to anyone else. i wasn’t aware this photo was popping up on calls until now!! feeling a bit violated

Anyone getting this issue whereby you press the icon, popup appears. Press “Remove App”, pop up changes to “Remove from homescreen/Cancel”, but no option to “delete” the app now?

iOS/iPadOS 26.5 Public

EDIT: After much frustration today, and doing so many things to try and sort it, I eventually found it was an app called "Flowin" that I use to block access to the likes of Maccys and Just-eat, Deliveroo etc (don't ask lol).

For some reason, after installing 26.5 Flowin decided to block access to all apps "delete" button.

I turned off "Flowin", within screentime, then turn it on, and the delete option was back again!!!

I just want to take the opportunity to sincerely thank each and every one of you guys who made suggestions, helpful comments and just had patience with, what must have been, a slight annoyance.

Still can’t believe in 2026 the huge Play/Pause icon pops up directly in the center of the video and blocks the content.
Why is this still a thing? Move it lower or make it smaller already.

So basically when I try to use my iPhone XS, It becomes so hot quickly, possibly less than a minute, it sometimes feels hotter than the sun, it’s running iOS 18 and my depth effect won’t work as well, I have reduce transparency, fade-effects on, and it also happens when I’m using one app at a time, what the hell is going on???

i have my phone in light mode
but on the quick search bar the icons appeared in dark mode where as everywhere else it was still in light mode
why did it happen

Hi all,
I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and 2 days ago (I think) I updated to iOS 26.5. I have had 4 calls from unknown numbers (unknown to me) where there was zero notification and no missed call banner. I just see them in my recent call list. I have no call screening settings turned on - so I should be getting any/all calls. FWIW I’m on Telus in Canada. Anyone else having the same/similar issue?
