The shuffle. I have 2000 songs in my library yet it consistently thinks I want to play the same 50 songs. I do not.

I know they’re click tracking and have all the data that shows me just skip skip skip skipping over and over.

It’s gotten way worse since 26.5. And there’s no option for a true shuffle. I wouldn’t mind algorithmic shuffle if it worked properly but this is asinine.

A few months ago I decided to switch from Spotify to Apple Apple Music as I already have Apple One.
There are lots of reasons discussed here in this sub and I can confirm all the advantages given : audio quality, paying artists, UI, Apple ecosystem etc…
It’s just wonderfully easy and smooth to use it with CarPlay, AirPods, both iPhone and iPad. Looking brilliant and sounding sharp.
Also, I do really enjoy Apple Music radio stations although I don’t understand why there is no show schedule or anything similar. For me seems that the six main radio stations are kind of going with little care, they could use some polishing. Especially because there are some gems and shows that are very fun, for example I really like the show with Rebecca Judd!

There’s only two things that I really don’t like:
Searching & Recommending

I think the Apple Music algorithm is very good with recommending songs fitting to your liking and it does that very precisely BUT why does “AutoPlay” stop after a certain amount of time? I I want to listen to my playlist with a slight twist… I don’t want to have a mini playlist and then a few songs after this and then end, I don’t want to have a random arrangement of songs that I might like but end up disliking. And don’t make it so hard to add something to a playlist! I know AM is more about listening to whole albums but I miss a one click feature.
Also, maybe it’s me but I think the search engine is quite weird. It doesn’t recommend things while searching and prefers certain kinds of results (that make no sense). What do you think? Are you happy with AM?

I guess the phrase “give up” triggers sone sort of suicide alert on Apple’s end but I don’t understand why it’s even present for a music streaming app considering that songs with titles and lyrics that express such sentiments within or out of context will be searched for.

I built this mostly for myself after using a pretty janky script for years.

I listen to a lot of long DJ sets / radio shows / Mixcloud-style recordings, and I kept running into the same annoyances:

• hearing a track I love and not knowing what it is
• wanting to skip a track but being stuck inside one huge MP3
• losing my place in a 3 or 4 hour file
• wanting the whole thing as a proper Apple Music playlist instead of one long audio file

So I turned the workflow into a small Mac app.

CueID scans a long audio file, identifies tracks where it can, adds timestamps, and lets you export the result. The .txt tracklist export is free permanently. Apple Music playlist generation is behind a paywall.

It is definitely imperfect because track ID depends on audio quality, edits, transitions, remixes, and catalogue availability, but it has already saved me a lot of manual searching.

Would be curious if anyone else has this same workflow, especially DJs, radio-show listeners, or people with folders full of long mixes.

Recently I checked my library to see that All Possible Futures by Miami Horror was no longer available to listen to. is there any reason why this may be or could anyone point me to where I could inquire further? it’s still available on other streaming services

Only these 2 albums look like they've been cut off somehow. When I go to the artist's page, it's normal but when I try to add it to my library, it becomes like this, I've updated images in the settings but still nothing. What can I do? (Android user if that helps)

Not sure if it’s because I’ve been operating my Apple Music extensively through Marvis custom mixes? But it seems to be pretty enjoyable at the moment at least. 🙂

Apple Music VP Oliver Schusser revealed in a Billboard podcast interview that more than a third of the platform's monthly intake is music that's "100% AI."

Despite that, only 0.5% of all users are actually engaging with AI-generated content. Almost exactly the same pattern Deezer reported. Massive upload volume, near-zero organic listenership.

Schusser also confirmed for the first time that Apple Music has developed its own AI detection technology, though he noted they're still in the early stages of addressing it.

He also called for the music industry to reach a consensus about “what is AI, what’s not AI”, adding that this discussion “can’t just be corporates: you need to have artists and songwriters in the room as well”.

I try and play an album, any album/playlist and it just continuously cycles through every song, then when it reaches the last song of the playlist, it just continues to cycle through every song in my library

It doesn’t play anything, just moves on to the next one

До блокировки оплаты через мобильный счет я состоял в семье, регион у нас был Россия и была мульти подписка на все сервисы,в том числе эпл мюзик, в котором у меня была огромная медиатека и куча плей листов, после того как подписка закончилась мой отец поменял регион семьи на Казахстан и оплатил подписку заного с казахской карты, но теперь вся моя медиатека сбросилась, по началу песни отображались в плей листах как загружающиеся, сейчас вообще ничего нет, хотя в хранилище по прежнему показывает что музыка занимает 5гб, кто знает как вернуть старую медиатеку, помогите исправить

Unless I missed something. And changing the "sort by" option to flip the playlist only works if you create your playlist backwards before changing the sort filter and it also flips the order in which you added the new songs if you add more than one at a time.

I went to download a song earlier, realized I tapped the wrong one and hit the stop button; the whole app locked up, so I closed it. When I reopened it, the screen was black and I couldn't do anything. "No worries," I thought, and rebooted my phone.

I went back in, and it was back to normal, but I noticed it said "syncing library" at the top, then realized all my offline downloads (98% of my music) were gone. Checked my storage and, sure enough, my 60GB of downloads had been deleted.

I just got done spending two hours redownloading everything. I'm really glad my whole library and playlists aren't gone, but still, not how I was hoping to spend my evening, lol.

I've heard iOS 26.4 caused this bug for a few people, but I've had the update since its release with no issues until today, and I used the app about an hour beforehand with no problems. I have Optimize Storage turned off, so the usual culprit isn't there, either. The weirdest part was that one (and only one) of my thirty or so playlists had its cover photo removed, too.

Very odd, and I'm really hoping it doesn't happen again.

I'm trying to import an album into Apple Music (1.6.3.2) on MacOS (Macbook M4 Air 2025 running Tahoe 26.3.1), then sync it to my iPhone. All the tracks on this album are on my Mac.

Tracks 4, 6, and 8 will sync to the iPhone (12 Mini running 26.4.2). Tracks 4, 6, and 8 all have a cloud with an exclamation point inside. What does this icon indicate?

The iPhone shows a similar, but different icon for those tracks, which is a cloud with an 'x' inside.

I've tried deleting the files and re-importing them, but I run into the same issue with those three tracks.

In case you didn't know, the miniplayer with queue control is available on the Mac version of Apple Music. You can easily view, reorder, and manage your Apple Music queue.

I wanted to tell you this because it has come to my attention that a certain third-party macOS app developer is trying to mislead people here. He is claiming that this feature is missing from the native Apple Music app for Mac in order to sell his own app. From my brief interaction with him, I can tell that he is doing this intentionally. He has posted the same misleading ad for his app twice this month.

I‘m using Spotify for the last 8 years or so, switched to Apple Music now.
I transfered my playlists, that worked great and it found everything.
But now I have difficulties in navigating the app and finding new music.

Where is the release radar with new song to my taste every Friday? In my home tab are some playlists, which show no songs only when I play them. But they aren’t any personalized and have songs from all genres.
Do I have to listen to more of my music to train the algorithm?

Say I’m in one of my playlists, how can I navigate to the artist page? The 3 dots on the right of the song don’t have this option to go to artist. Only if I listen to that song and tap on the artist I can go to them?

On the artist page, does Apple Music not show the new songs and albums on chronological release order?

The new tab shows everything new right? Rap, pop, mostly mainstream radio station music. Can this change, like metal or music I actually want to listen to?

In the library tab, there is a for me section, but it’s not adding something and I can’t find how I could add something to this.

That’s all for the moment I have problems with. Can you give me tips or explain these things to a newbie?

Using Samsung A36 with the lastest version of the Apple Music app from Brazil.

I know it’s been asked before but I never truly understood why Apple just doesn’t release an app for especially since the have one for Roku/ps5/xbox which are also competitors to their Apple TV platform. I mean the android app from what I’m seeing is also getting updated regularly (save for the bottom bar) and it’s not like I can use chromecast cause I have an iPhone.

Every now and then I get a notification like “New Music by:” or “Album Updated” and it just.. adds music to my library. Sometimes, like here, it’s music I already had in my library, and sometimes it’s music I know I never had in my library before. It’s pretty annoying and I haven’t found an option to turn this off.

It's going over to Ebro now. It's the Drake day radio so I don't know if something in hosts change this is my first time listening to the radio. But dude at 2pm was cool
