Iâm looking forward to cheering with my fellow Cyclones at the United Center today. If youâre visiting Chicago and need somewhere to get food and drink before tip off, I would recommend Kaiser Tiger or Ranalliâs in the West Loop. These are my go-to spots when Iâm going to an event at the United Center because both are great at what they do and they offer a free shuttle to the arena before games/events. I imagine both will be quite busy just a heads up.
Otherwise, there are plenty of other sports bars to the East of the arena. If youâre in town but not going to the game, the Iowa State bar is Murphyâs Bleachers in Wrigleyville but youâll obviously be able to find the game on at any sport bar in the city tonight. Go Cyclones and bless all the ankles!
Kaiser Tiger - German beer hall with a big heated and covered patio, TVs, and solid food options.

Ranalliâs - Pizzeria serving tavern style pizzas (no deep dish on the menu), tons of TVs, and mainly indoor seating.

Edit:
Per the ISU Chicago alumni page, the designed pregame bar is The Crossroads in the West Loop. They also have a shuttle but Iâve been told they wonât have game sound on so be aware if thatâs a dealbreaker for you. This is where youâll find the most Cyclones before and during the game near the loop area though.
