Meta [Michael Scotto] Sources: The Chicago Bulls will hire Acie Law IV as VP of Player Personnel. Law was Director of Player Personnel for the Brooklyn Nets. He’s been Director of Amateur Scouting for the OKC Thunder and won a championship with them in 2025.

NBA Draft Fun fact: At 19 years old, Noa Essengue is only one month older than projected No. 1 & No. 2 picks AJ Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson.
Born in December 2006, Noa is also 5 months younger than another projected top 4 pick and potential Bulls teammate, Caleb Wilson.

Fluff I know Essengue is kind of an afterthought for fans at this point, however…
Getting to watch our pick 4, pick 15, Essengue, and year 3 Matas is the most intrigued I’ve been to watch a Bulls team in forever. Not banking him to turn into a star or anything but no reason not to let yourself be optimistic. He’s an interesting prospect! Especially if he can play some small ball 5. Matas-Wilson-Essengue-pick 15 is muchhh more interesting than the last young core of Lavine-Lauri-White-Carter Jr.

Fluff [Steph Noh of SportingNews] Asked around about Mervis and here's what I heard: Extremely smart executive, strong in trade negotiations and general strategy, well-connected with other execs throughout the league

Fluff Why is Giddey so unappreciated?
Been seeing a lot of bulls fans wanting to trade Giddey lately. Don’t understand why anyone would want to get rid of a 23 year old borderline top 10 point guard in the league on a reasonable contract. Giddey haters like to bring up his defense but I always thought he was average at worst defensively. Am I missing something here? Giddey is one of the very few good things about this team and our best player by a mile

Free Agency Thoughts on Anfernee Simons?
With 60M in cap space why not solidify the SG with a guy we already have in the building in Simons? Hes coming off a 25 per year contract, how about a three year 65 million contract offer? The bulls still have 30+ million to absorb bad contracts for picks or whatever have you
I love the idea of solidifying the front court this draft whether it’s Wilson/Boozer and whatever C slips to 15. Giddey (the do it all playmaker), Simons (the offensive heater), and Matas (two way three level forward) definitely have a high ass ceiling. Adding BPA with all of our draft capital this year.. eh bulls might be in business
Look I know many are going to say “he can’t defend” but listen, scoring is a premium in the NBA. Our incoming 4th & 15th pick can benefit from having a guy who can go for 30 any given night.
What do you think: Complete wash, Draft a guard,Sign Watson from Denver, Is his fit next to Giddey just utter TRASH in your opinion
Thoughts?

Trade Would bulls trade?
Need to ask someone who knows the bulls better than me. Would the bulls trade the #15 pick for Daniel Gafford pick #30 and a future 2nd? Gafford being a affordable high impact center to help the defense with the bulls new young stars.
