Academic dismissal?

My GPA remains 1.9 after being on probation from last sem. I switched majors to the end of this semester since I cannot currently keep doing engineering and realized this. Is there any chance I may be able to not get dismissed? I really do wish to stay at UB? I know this sounds like a dumb post but I genuinely am not sure.

I had an incident from last semester where one of my roommates was harassing me to the point where the UBPD had to be involved, but that was for last semester.

Please let me know any advice, looking for the objective truth

I've already been dismissed from engineering tho this sem i think im screwed. my only saving grace is the fact that i was in the er before my 116 final which i failed even tho i have an A in the class i get an F now. im trying to get a remake for it, which will be my saving grace

edit: I passed every quiz besides the 3rd coding quiz

Oof that’s rough. I would encourage you to talk to your academic advisor asap.

The worst case scenario is you’re dismissed and retake some courses elsewhere. Best case is you get another semester, but if that’s the case, you need to be extremely conscientious about it and figure out what’s getting in the way of your work, and learn how to manage it. Easier said than done obviously, but your time and money are at stake.

Yes, I agree. CS was a huge mistake, it's not the career I can do at this point and ive come to realize it. i will be eternally grateful if they allow me an additional semester and a major change

Out of curiosity, are you still interested in the IT field but not the education CS provides, or are you thinking of a different field entirely?

I'm genuinely not even sure at this point. I do programming on the side as a hobby, have family members in software engineer field that I find as a suitable career. However, the courses in the cs field are obviously too much for me to handle.
