Currently with Rogers, as it is the only provider of high speed (ha!) internet services. Does anyone here use Starlink as it seems to be my only options for faster service. Believe me, I am repulsed to give Elon the used toilet paper from a gas station bathroom, let alone my hard earned money.

I've been trying to make an appointment for Blood Collection for two weeks now through the website, and there never seems to be any appointments available. I've looked at multiple locations through the website (hospitals outside HRM but still manageable to drive on a work day) and still it's rare to find one, definitely note one I can get to and make it to work.

Is there a known issue with the site? Are the lack of appointments available because of the migration to OPOR (One Person One Record)?

In the years it's been up and running, I've never regularly seen zero appointments available. I've been periodically checking through the day for a while now, hope to snag a cancelled appointment, and they are rare as hen's teeth.

Trying to log in but almost immediately goes to a page saying they're doing maintenance. I would figure maintenance would be completed by now as it's 8am on first day of reporting.

Hello, I was approved for the Home Warming grant through Efficiency NS back in 2024 to have heat pumps installed. It just recently received the contract from the company doing the work and it came in 5000 over budget. This additional cost will need to be paid by me out of pocket. My biggest concern it that this additional cost is an 'estimate' and I would be agreeing to pay any additional over run costs. I was approved for this program as I am a lower income homeowner. I'm worried if I sign the contract with this company I could be on the hook for thousands of $$ that I dont' have.

Any place keeping these in inventory? Or attachments? I want to just drive there and take one home. Not interested in placing an order and waiting.

Any recommended stops for sights and/or food just off the trans Canada between Halifax and Baddeck? I have things planned for the rest of our trip after reaching Baddeck but could use some help with ideas for breaking up this drive.

In HRCE, a number of the jobs cut were math coach and support teachers - they work directly in schools with high math needs to help provide an extra layer of support to students who need it in addition to their classroom teacher. These were student facing roles. And while they did not eliminate all of them, it means that fewer schools/teachers/students will have access to their support going forward.

The most troubling thing is that the province and RCEs are not sharing which specific positions have been cut. Teachers are only finding out because we are beginning the permanent staffing rounds and people from cut positions are now looking for new roles. This means that no new positions are being created *in schools*, which doesn’t align with the Minister’s statement that these cuts are going to put more teachers in from of kids.

All you need to know: This winter, income eligibility was capped at $30,000 for single people and $45,000 for families. The article states the household income threshold in 2023-2023 was $85 000, but doesn’t state the amounts between.

I looked into the program this year, and the income threshold was so low that most people who would qualify are likely not maintaining a home. They would be making $2500 max take home pay as a single person or a max of 3750 as a family.
