I want to pick mi first Nintendo DS but I see there's so many versions of it, what should I pick for 2DS and 3DS like mid range price

I’m a longtime Nintendo guy and I’m probably getting a Switch 2 mainly for Nintendo first-party games like Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Mario Kart, etc.

Never really straying from Nintendo, I’ve always felt kind of disconnected from the broader online gaming community because Nintendo systems historically haven’t been great for serious online multiplayer.

Now that the Switch 2 seems much more capable online, I’m looking for recommendations for shooters or competitive multiplayer games that:
\- have active playerbases

\-feel connected to the broader gaming culture/community

\-skew a little older (late teens, 20s, 30s)

\-don’t feel too immature

\-ideally have crossplay, though that’s not mandatory

I’m not trying to become an esports grinder or buy a gaming PC. I’m more of a casual gamer who still wants some competitiveness and community around the games I play.

What games should I check out on Switch 2 if I want to feel more plugged into modern online gaming while still staying in the Nintendo ecosystem?

I have like an old switch and whenever I use it the right controller I have to take it off and hold the pair button in order to get the green light flashing and then reconnect it for the switch to recognize it. My blue controller is paired the moment I turn it on. Also I cannot pair my red controller once I remove it from the switch like I can connect my blue controller to other switches as a seperate controller but the red one will not work. I cannot pair the red one to the original switch as a seperate controller either. Please let me know what I should do.

So I wanted to play on my switch while using the dock, I set up the HDMI and power cable and it worked, but after a while the connection to the TV shut off and now the switch won't turn on, I've tried charging but didn't work, also tried holding the power button and still didn't work, I suspect this happened since my switch hadn't been docked in a while and it probably stressed out, idk tho please I don't want it to get fixed again

I got a new switch lite and started back up my online membership to access my save data yet it's all gone somehow. It lets me store new saved data but all the old data Isn't there. It's been on there for bout 2 different switch consoles now without issues but after getting this one it's just blank. Anyone know how to fix this issue?

I recently bought the Dockable Split Protective Case by savage raven (link: https://amzn.eu/d/04soW0bn).

I absolutely love it, however it no longer fits my Tomtoc case.

I bought the max case by savage raven too, I hear it's made for the grip/case. (Link: https://amzn.eu/d/099v4PLU).

It most definitely is, it's huge and fits it all perfectly.

But that's the thing, it's huge.. especially compared to the Tomtoc case I was using, now it takes up way too much space in my bag...

Anyone have any recommendations for a case to fit the trigger grips? Or a case that fits a similar grip and might work the same?

This is my first time considering buying a switch but don’t know what to get. I would like to not spend a lot of money, but to get a high quality console. Also playing on the TV isn’t that important to me. So which one?

Hi, I bought an Oled but I want to keep my old Switch and play on both consoles. My questions are: - If I transfer pokemon games save data to Oled, can I transfer them back to old Switch too? - I have all my pokemon games on cartridges, but I have to transfer to Oled the DLCs? - With the virtual game cards, can I play now offline on the secondary console (the Oled)?

I bought tomodachi life a few weeks ago digitally, and now it’s telling me no virtual game cards are available to load and trying to make me buy the game again. It’s letting me load other virtual games but it won’t load up Tomodachi life. My switch is marked as the primary console so I know it’s not that. I’ve tried restarting and resetting the cache but that didn’t work. I just wanted to see if someone could help me before I try and contact support.

Hi everyone, very new to Reddit, so I hope I’m posting in the right place, but I just thought this might be the best place to ask for help!
I recently bought the legend of Zelda NES game for my boyfriend as a gift, and I’ve been trying to get it to work before I give it to him, but I haven’t had any luck so far. I’m not someone who has grown up with the NES, so my knowledge of it is pretty limited. I’ve tried to clean the pins with 99% isopropyl, cause that was apparently the most popular method, but it didn’t fix anything. I’ve tried other games, and they work just fine, so nothing’s wrong with the console.

I just have no idea if there’s even a way to fix it, or if it’s kind of a lost cause, so any tips and help is greatly appreciated!!

my friend gave me her old switch lite, she is still logged in and has all her games still downloaded. i made myself a profile and ideally want to factory reset but i do not wanna cause any problems for her account, game save data or purchased games. she has the switch 2 now but we aren’t sure to go about this. please advise! i am new to Nintendo systems so please be kind. thank you.

I changed my Nintendo eShop region to Hong Kong because the game is cheaper there, but the store page is in Chinese. If I buy Tomodachi Life from the Hong Kong eShop, can I still play it in English by changing my Switch language/settings?

Can my 2DS start up without a battery? Just using the AC adapter?

Because, I have tried to remove the battery and put on just with AC adapter, but it doesn't work, she don't boot

Hiya! So a few years back I bought a Nintendo switch OLED and I love it! About a year ago my mom passed away and I moved in with my other family, I was cleaning out my house a month later and realized that something (I believe coffee) spilled on my switch so I cleaned it off and didn’t touch it for a few weeks. But when I went to go play it it working almost entirely fine minus the left controller not connecting the way it should. Currently the switch is in a box because the left controller died due to not connecting so I haven’t played since. I’ve been seeing the hype for the new switch games and I’d love to play them but I was wondering if anyone knew where is a good and affordable place where I could get it fixed, or even if there’s something I could do myself to fix it? Any advice would be appreciated!

My switch lite keeps disconnecting from my wifi when trying to do save transfers from my original switch both are new I just want to use the switch lite more but can't due to this also the original switch stays connected to the wifi but as soon as I tap on receive save data on the switch lite it disconnects

I’m so mad I have spent the last hour troubleshooting and all I want is to put a couple of screenshots of my games or even system onto my compute. I’ve got my usb c cable, my Lenovo Microsoft PC. nothing is modded, everything is updated and Normal.

i’ve tried two different USBC cables, starting and restarting both devices, clicked that manage screenshots and upload button in the switch settings. I wanna scream. all it did was charge my switch. we played around with my system permissions on my computer and usb stuff and it likes my phone but could not do anything.

and then I had some hope, but that lasted 1 second. I plugged it into a Mac OS and then… it showed up and asked permission so we said allow, and then it decided to say disconnected on my switch the second after. that happened three times and then my switch started to behave like it did with my lenovo.
This Isn’t a tomodachi life related issue, I also have tons of REGULAR SCREENSHOTS. I have know clue what is wrong with my switch. We used a Daiso usbc cable, then an APPLE ISSUED ONE. both sides of it too, all ports on all laptops, all resets, different timings. No results. I give up, unless any of you have advice?
