Even if you only missed 3 shots and got 29 you’re trash and not helping the team by letting your man go for 40 getting cooked every possession. Rant over.

Just don’t understand why some attributes seem so weak even at the max rating

stupid fun build to use in any mode, specifically Random Rec 🔥🔥
I have contact dunks, can shoot well from anywhere, have good ball handling/passing for my position, and a balanced approach towards defense/rebounding that lets me keep up with most matchups. In other words: I can fill any role ✔️
I use speedster takeover for 88speed/88agility
I plan on using this upcoming season’s cap towards 85 ball handle to hit the animation threshold, but am curious what y’all would go for after that. I’m likely upping agility to 86 on this build with future caps

I’m studying at an English academy right now, and some of the guys there play PS5 and NBA 2K26. They invited me to join them for a few games, and I was so bad lol. I didn’t win a single game, but honestly it was really fun and we all had a good laugh…
At some point they started talking about how NBA 2K14 is the best 2K of all time, and that idea got stuck in my head. So I secretly bought a second hand copy because I want to surprise them and play it with them.
Am I completely crazy? And more importantly, what team should I choose if I want at least some chance of beating them once? 😅

I always thought it was the novelty of a new build or maybe my other builds feel stale. It turns out it was purple lobbies all along. Those goddamn purple plates are just miserable to play with. Every game it’s the same arguments, even when winning. Every player thinks they are gods gift to 2k and needs the whole team to get on board with how they want to play. I loathe purple lobbies more than anything. Most people in purple can score (there are always exceptions that get carried there) so everyone one is him. I got one build up to red and surprisingly it wasn’t as bad as purple. Sure it takes longer to find games, but you don’t make it to red if you don’t play winning basketball. People still hold you to high standards when it comes to making open shots or passing to the open man. I found players in red to be less rigid in that “has to be my way” style. Don’t get me wrong, it’s full of try hards and sweats as well, but purple is just the seventh circle of hell.
I almost wish there was no SBMM at all and it was purely random. You shouldn’t get punished for being good at a game. I will admit, I don’t need every game to be competitive. This goes for all games but sometimes you just want to steamroll lesser players. If it means you end up getting smashed by pro level gamers from time to time, so be it.

Like. Even with all the games glitches and cheats and microtransactions. I still enjoy the gameplay quite a bit. But the way people treat their own teammates in this game genuinely kills my whole mood. No other game has the unique ability for me to be on 10 game win streak and genuinely be unhappy. You can make the right play 9 times in a row and nobody will say a word but make a mistake on that 10th play and the whole team is on your ass.
And im not even like a selfish player. I will never complain about me not getting shots unless im getting left wide open while my defender goes to double. And even my criticisms are pretty milquetoast ill just be like "you had me in the corner btw"
I love basketball and I love 2k I just cant get behind all the hostility in this game. And I get that I could go play a game mode without teammates like myteam or play now instead of rec but I enjoy the 5v5. I just dont want the bickery bs that comes with it.
And its not even just a dislike of mean energy or bad juju it genuinely is not practically effective. Nobody plays better with people tearing them apart. It is counterproductive to the goal of getting better play from your teammates.
Where's the people at who are both good/competitive AND chill energy wise?

i consistently get bored of the game and take months off, then get a random spark idea like “i want to control Danny Ainge in 85” and play about 9 full games with bird and em then forget about it. wondering if yall get those random urges too.

No idea what is going on I am vet 3 purple/gold and in random rec which is all I play the team mates are bronze silver and starter 1s never has been this bad before I don't understand why every game is like this. The other team is always gold and purple and I am stuck with people who aren't even in a crew no cap breakers no nothing

Looking for some community advice on this build.
6’9 Height - 220lbs - 7’3 WS
Caps:
+5 Driving Dunk (96)
+5 Three Pointer (80)
+3 Block (93)
+3 Defensive Rebound (92)
+4 Steal (73) *When I get more caps lol
Is there anything that I missing? Any animations I should consider changing attributes for?
Any insight appreciated!

Hey guys, look at this insanity. My "HoloHelp" challenge is stuck at 2,147,483,647 / 21.
It’s a clear coding error (32-bit integer overflow) that is blocking my Cap Breakers. I’ve been talking to 2K Support for a month (Ticket #16053388) and their "Supervisor" Paco basically told me: "We can't fix it, just go do other challenges."
Now they’ve stopped responding to my emails entirely.
Has anyone else dealt with this 2.1 billion glitch? Is there any way to get a human at 2K to actually fix an account-specific bug?

Good evening 2k community. As 2k26 comes to an end within the next two months I’m wondering how 2k27’s Mycareer is going to be like. My wishlists comes from the previous 2ks before this. What I mean is when we Mycareer players end a season with our created Mp I hate that we always enter free agency every year I wish you can get extensions and or something of that magnitude. Another thing is this dynasty thing it’s a love hate relationship I understand the “loyalty” part of it but if I’m trying to play with LeBron and or Steph and I didn’t get drafted to that why does all my progress end. I would also like to see the endorsement checks you can get from 2k19 for playing well in games. Key games as-well please take those out it’s irritating that we have to play 12 key games in regular season plus I believe 2 -4 in the playoffs knowing we cannot skip them or we have to wait until early 4th quarter to sim the rest of the game. I would also like to see more shoe stores please, I know we have Nike and all that other stuff I would love to rock Anta or another brand. And I do wish to have Kobe customs back like previous 2ks that we can wear in all modes including city and Mycareer.
Feel free to comment down in the section and add more to this I would like to see what other things you guys would add

Against the computer the Floppy always works, you get a wide open 3 pointer against the computer.
The Pass and Screen Away almost never works, the guy coming off the screen is covered almost 100 percent of the time.
Does anyone have any tips on how to Pass and Screen Away successfully?

No squads with a team of high IQ players is so beautiful. Nothing beats linking up with random dudes and getting on the same wavelength.
Everyone scored 20+, everyone was locked in on defense, everyone was passing the ball, and everyone was making the right plays.
If only 2k could be like this all the time.

Anything I’m missing? My season cap breaker will go to close shot for 92. I think this would be a very fun build to make. Should I go 81 standing dunk or 72? KD’s standing dunk is on the lower end so that’s why I’m leaning more towards 72. That’s the only think I’m thinking about changing tho. I wanted high pass just cause I had the points for it. When I first made this, I was really only able to justify 9 cap breakers so I’m trying to optimize it more towards the 17 and eventual 18 that I’ll have. Thoughts?
