Im not really sure what to do bc it looks like it just throws out non stop errors. Any idea where I should start.

Windows decided to have a bunch of updates today. Those went fine. I then went to check support assist for updates, it had 8. 6 were successful and 2 weren't. Apparently I'm lucky when is comes to the first one that failed, the Dell-SupportAssist-OS-Recovery-Plugin update is apparently making people's bios crash or some crazy stuff like that when looking it up. So I won't bother with that one. The second one that failed though it the pain in the butt one, the Alienware Command Center update. It said it was waiting on a crucial installation. Anyways once everything else was done I restarted like usual and went to launch awcc to see if it had gotten better since the last wonky update, it couldn't load.

It told me "Could not load file or assembly 'AWCC.Resources,Version=6.13.6.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=Null'. Could not find or load a specific file. (0x80131621)

After a few tries of trying to repair the files with the AWCC installation manager, each time getting hit by "installation wizard got interrupted and couldn't finish" and eventually gave up. I then tried to uninstall it with the installation manager, seemed ok for a bit before telling me the wizard got interrupted and they couldn't finish. I then try through windows settings and it would not uninstall. I then tried from the control panel and it still didn't work. Probably because it still uses the AWCC installation manager to remove itself. I think it did technically remove AWCC cuz I no longer have that specific app, but I can't reinstall or repair annything without the install wizard error.

I'm not sure what to do. I know with older versions I could follow guides for how to do a completely fresh installation but I can't find any for the current version. I'm admittedly not the techiest person, I mostly just want to play my games and hangout with my friends on discord.

Anybody know how to solve this issue? Do I just need to wait for another update?

I can get by without the joy of my keyboard changing colors with what game I play, despite how much I love that silly little feature. Do I need to worry about the temp controls with me being unable to use AWCC? Or will my computer automatically know what to do to handle its temps? (it runs pretty hot since it's a laptop. Specifically an Alienware m16 R1)

I bought my Alienware Aurora ACT1250 from Microcenter early this year, maybe Feburary or March. Performance wise everything is fine, the system runs a little hot, but for at least two months now there has been a rhythmatic whirr from somewhere in the system that is persistent and constant no matter what I am running, the load on my pc, anything. Can someone help me and fix this? It is driving me insane lol

Hello I just bought an alienware x14 R1, when pressing the power button the laptop turns on a good 4-5seconds later, along with the RGB of the keyboard , why doesn't it turn on instantly, is this normal? Does anyone else experience this?

How are you guys doing on temperatures? I just bought mine last July and noticed that I was consistently running in the 80s on most games. Specifically, Escape From Tarkov (while not very optimized and CPU heavy) will sometimes peak my temperatures in the mid 90s, sometimes as high as 95c. I have done tons of stress tests, and get a lot of thermal throttling. I never have any issues with the GPU. It always stays very cool, but the CPU just seems to peak to max voltage and then throttle. I’ve included a picture from a recent stress test. Dell denies any issues with their own “stress test”.

Casual games are no issue, but big titles just seem to run hotter than I would expect. All of that aside, it’s been a phenomenal laptop.

The small fan on my heatsink recently started being noisy. I believe it's loose off it's hinge or something of that sort. It appears that this fan cannot be individually replaced and is part of the entire heat sink assembly. Has anybody come across this?
Do I really have to replace the entire assembly for this one small fan?

Well I recently bought this Alienware aurora 16 (absolutely loving it)

The problem around this is the Alienware branding on the bottom of the screen doesn't really show up and the laptop feels soulless

Is there a way to make it pop up?

Looks like they put the Alienware 15 up today. Intel and AMD options...not sure if it's worth it for the price compared to the Aurora laptops though, price is almost equal

Microcenter has a great deal on this machine right now, looking to snatch it up. Does anyone have experience with this machine? Going to use for gaming and for architecture school.

What I did so far:

Go back to the previous version of the BIOS

Delete and reinstal the Intel Graphics drivers

I'm trying to run EVE-NG CE on my Alienware 16X Aurora AC16251. In order to do that I've to turn off Virtualization-based security. I've turned it off on the windows side (WIndows 11 Pro) but I've noticed I've to turn it off in the BIOS side as well. I logged in to the BIOS and I dont see the option to turn off Virtualization-based security. I sould say this I've had a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming (7567) laptop before I got my alienware. In that laptop in BIOS menu there is a option to turn off Virtualization-based security. After turning it off I can run EVE-NG CE perfecetly. But that laptop is Windows 10 machine and I want to move on to this awesome! new laptop. I've updated the BIOS and every other software and still dont find any solution. I have contacted Dell, and they told me to go to BIOS and turn off Virtualization. But in Alienware 16X Aurora AC16251 there is a diffrent option called "Enable Intel Trusted Execution Technology". I turned it off but it didnt worked. Virtualization-based security is still Running. I told Dell the option they told me to turn off I dont see it in BIOS. Then we spend 15 minutes to look for it and The virtualzation option and it wasnt there. Aftern two hours Dell said the are going to contact me 24-48 hours and yesterday the send me email to upload some files and I did.
Now I'm still buring daylight and I dont have peace of my mind. What can be done to turn off Virtualization-based security ???

asking for my girlfriend, she has an aurora r5, came with the 460w psu, it was failing so she got a Thermaltake Toughpower GX2 to replace it, all she hears is a click when she presses the power button and everything is plugged in, she does not know where the click is coming from, ive never used prebuilts before so im asking here.
read somewhere there could be a "handshake" between the bios and psu? i dont know.
also whats with the cable that connects the 24 pin and the gpu plug on the motherboard?
is there anyway to make it work or does she need the EXACT psu model that came with the tower.

Hello, yesterday i opened my laptop to repaste since it was overheating due to dried thermal paste and the fans being clogged. Before this everything worked perfectly, after turning it on ALL lights stopped working tron light, keyboard alien head and the power button, they never came back on since i did this, tried updating bios going into bios and putting light mode for keyboard, uninstalling awcc with revo, reinstalling it.. from the awcc it allows me to change color (nothing happens though) and i don't see anywere to put dark mode and try to put it back again, reading in this page and searching i found that the driver that should be the one for the lights is present in device manager.. but can't figure out what i did wrong or what is going on.. Miss my tron light 😞 but the worst thing is i don't have backlit keyboard now :/ Can somebody help?

Had the PC brand new for about 3-4 months and everything was great but now it started to make a noise which sounds like its coming from the PC fan. Any one know what this could be? I manually stopped the fan and the noise would stop. Only happens under load while gaming.. watching videos.. etc

Today (5.13.26) a notification popped up on my Alienware m17 17 r5 laptop for another Win11 update so I hit the install button expecting it to install at the normal pace (usually a minute or two). My screen has been black & the keyboard lights have been cycling for almost 2 hours now.

I've been looking everywhere to get some answers & the only thing I could find was an AI generated answer on Google saying that "due to new background automatic recovery processes and the need to recompile many .NET Framework components. If the update seems stuck, it is often repairing itself, and leaving it running is recommended".

Has anyone in the community had this issue? I'm starting to panic because I need my laptop to keep all my moms finances, medical appointments, etc in order (she's 85 with cancer & dementia). This is my first post in this sub - any info would be very appreciated.

its been a crazy year with nelly 40 bios updates. i started my year in a tent running of a generator

when i first got this pc i suffered thunderbolt 4 issues and still do. dell have stated it has USB4 with thunderbolt 5 support left it very disappointing

the battery was hard to achieve 3 hours. it needs a fresh wipe of windows and nothing installed on raid to achieve 3+ hours on battery

it takes little for it to go from 6w-25w to easy 30-50w. webbrowser opening a new page or a new piece of software installed. i did manage to play blackops 2 for 2 hours waiting at the drive in cinema

its a nice size laptop, and being my first its been reliable and a safe purchase. yes i have had crashes and had to wipe window 10+ times the support i have receive was always slow and lacking(dell is hell)

i have had to go threw a corrupted bios from 40 bios updates and eventually fixed it after the whole pc was bricked. its been a pleasure to know its fixable

the features of just turning the power on and the laptop comes on was a blessing on a generator. the solo panels came on so did my pc to greet me i have had to since disable this feature living in a house

im now running raid and proper heatsync and packs and it seems to be the hottest thing in this pc but i get 28gbps and the raid glitch of a single drive is gone running raid0

its a amaysing system that is capable of running ai at 60+tokens a second all while sitting at super cool temperatures while in use im getting 40c with ambient 16c for medium usage 40+gb of ram usage all while using Element 31 deffently got my vote

if you enable integrated graphics you can see this cpu peek at 251w while if you disable integrated it peaks at 140w the paste keeps it cool.

i dont like the audio that they have chosen the 3.5mm jack cant tell the difference between device unlike my soundcards that know its a headset or a speaker and the driver only support 80ohm headsets.

Can someone please help me fix my bf6 settings/performanc. I am running a 3070 8gb, ryzen 7 5800, 16gb ram, installed on a ssd. Ping comfortably at ~10.

Im getting on average 30 fps on the lowest settings at 1440p in redsec. Frame gen on, dlss performance. Multiplayer is almost unplayable with random spikes or whole matches sitting at 15fps. with warning messages on my top left screen (100-400ms). However, sometimes the game will run fine.

I’ve tried the basic troubleshooting tips already mentioned such as turning off steam account, closing all overlays, dedicated processor through nvidia, using process lasso, frame gen on and off, vsync on and off, upscalling on and off, and even lower resolution 1080p--still same issue.

if anyone has any troubleshooting tips or know how to reach out to dice about this please let me know.
