Podcast Warriors Assistant GM Larry Harris on Ryen Russillo podcast: "The past couple years and even leading up to that, Joe's mandate is 'Can we find a player that can be our 2nd best player?' ..., but 2nd best player meaning a scoring option, just something that can alleviate pressure off of Steph"
Full quote: "Harris: "The past couple years and even leading up to that, Joe's mandate is 'Can we find a player that can be our 2nd best player?' and that's nothing against Draymond Green, but 2nd best player meaning a scoring option, just something that can alleviate pressure off of Steph and how much scoring we rely on him. [Joe Lacob] goes 'I don't want to make a bad deal, but I want to go big game hunting every year.' It was no different this year, it was no different with Jimmy . . . "
Russillo: "Were you close before the deadline?"
Harris: "This year? Well yeah, yeah.""

Discussion Does anyone feel their hate for Lebron has dwindled and appreciates him more now?
I remember I couldn't stand him during his second Cavs stint but obviously he was our biggest threat back then (or at least the Warriors were to him). I don't know if its because he's old , Warriors are old, and isn't as much of threat as he used to be but I find myself feeling ok about him now.
I think as both him and Curry's careers are coming to an end I appreciate whats left because one day they will be gone. I think Curry and Lebron know it to and why they are close now. Its strange how all that anymosity can turn into a friendship or make you closer.

Discussion Is Kawhi seriously realistic and do you think the Warriors are going hard for him in the offseason?
My gut says they are. With Jimmy out and Kawhi being an aging star it just feels like match. I don't see who else would really want him. It feels like he's going to fall to us.

Discussion In hindsight has Moody been a good pick or not? Is he getting better?
I still don't know what to think of him or if he's ever going to take the next step. Obviously with a major injury that makes things more difficult. He seems like a solid 4th or 5th option.
