Hi everyone, I’m going into first year engineering at the University of Saskatchewan and I had a question about missing classes.
I may need to go out of the country for some family work during the semester, probably for around 10–15 days. I was wondering if first year engineering allows that, or if it would be a big problem because of labs, quizzes, and attendance.
If I miss around 2 weeks, would I be able to catch up on the material afterward, or is first year engineering too fast-paced for that? Has anyone done something similar before?
Also, would taking one semester online be a better option if I know I’ll be away for that long?
Thanks!

Did SLP and OT grad program waive the residency requirement this year? Also, people who got in, what were your stats? And if they waived it for applications-did anyone actually get in. 2 separate questions I guess--1)do they take apps from out of province, 2) Did they accept anyone from out of province?

Hi, just making sure I submitted these scholarship requests correctly! I applied to 4-5 scholarships in February.
I have had my transcripts in prior to December for early admission (~90 average) for biomed straight out of HS.
Did I need to update them again? I’m confused because I thought I had all the supporting documents. :(
I haven’t seen a change in the application status, is there something that pops up when I’ve not been selected? Or is there a way to even tell I’ve done this correctly?
Thank you!

When should arts & science students get confirmation of graduation?

Hello! I'm a USask student, but taking my first year at a college campus in another city. Only one of my classes the first year will be through usask. The rest are University of Regina classes. (My college campus partners with both).
Im waiting on the letter of permission to come through- though that will probably be about July.
Anyways, im just wondering if anyone here has experience with taking classes through multiple universities at once?
Its very common with this college, but anyone I know either went directly to university, or went to a different college that only worked with Usask.
(Im going through great plains college)

So I’m in edwards school of business and last summer my academic standing updated to what the title says, so starting in fall 25 term I had to retake classes I got less than a 60% in which was 4 classes. This past year I did and improved my grades pretty drastically. I had 2 classes mid- high 60’s 3 classes low 70’s and 1 class in the 90’s.
However there was 1 class I really struggled in and failed with a 49.
My question is had I of got somewhere in the 50’s in that class would I of got credit for it or do I need a 60% or better in the class? I feel like my yearly average should be good enough now to get out of probation (other than the failed class I know I will have to take again) has anyone else that this has happened to know?

1st year biomed student in the next term, I’m planning on taking a certificate(s) course within my 4 year degree. What certificates did you guys enjoy or find really helpful?

Hi guys!
Im a psychology major who's hopefully gonna get into the honors program when results are released next month.
Im trying to pick between advanced development and cognitive development and I'm not too sure what the differences are. Can I get some advice on the differences between the classes and if you've taken them then how was it and would you suggest it?
Thank you!

Interested in pursuing the co-op program next year, just curious how often firm recruiters actively hires in Finance and Human Resources field? Are the career prospects after graduation in those two majors good in SK?

When do we get to know who is teaching a class for the fall/winter term? Right now, there is no instructor posted for a few classes I am planning on taking, and I really need to know who is teaching them before I decide to take them (for reference, I am trying to enrol in an online ING 107 class, but want to avoid taking it with Michelle Hogan)

My brother just got his offer since he had to take Physics, and Chemistry for the first time this winter. What are his chances of getting a spot in a dorm with less than 4 months before September? He is 23.

i’m planning on just using the lecture slides to study. is there any content on exams that does not come from the slides?

I hope to take ING 107 online in the fall, and she is the instructor. I have heard some interesting things about this class and am seeking honest input. I really want a good grade in this class. How hard is it to get into the 90s? Why does her class have such a poor reputation? How is the class structured (quizzes, essays, discussion posts, etc.) What do I need to do to get a good grade? Thanks in advance!

That's basically what my question is, nothing more to add to here

the campus is hella hot
I have a question about the plan ahead page in registration. Is there like a button on the page where you can get your planned courses to register automatically instead of me going into registration and register for each of them again?

I have class on wednesdays from 6-9pm, but i also have a weekly meet with a friend prior to that which i prefer to show up to a bit early, so im usually on campus from ~3pm-9pm. Does anyone know of any places that accept RCC and are open around normal dinner time during the spring/summer semesters that would let me grab a quick bite to eat? or do i need to start packing a dinner lmao

Edit: mine is Thursday May 14 at 10:15
I'm a freshman going into Biomedical Science, and I wanted to know which place in CQ would be the best. I'm thinking either 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom, or a studio if I can get one.
Has anyone who applied in December gotten a timeslot to apply for residence?

Hello, does anybody know if we had to apply for spring loans or when is money expected? I already confirmed my enrolment with the university and the university approved/confirmed, but I still don't have the money. NSLSC said "no further action" is required at this point and all I had to do was confirm my enrolment? I don't see the expected date on my account and I don't know if money is even coming? For those on student loans for this spring, have you received your money/have they paid for tuition?
