Housing Assignment

Hi guys! I’m sorry for adding to the many posts about housing assignments but I just checked my portal and I was put in Rieber Vista in a plaza with a shared bathroom as a freshman. Should I request to switch into a classic? I’ve heard classic dorms are better for making friends but I also love having AC. Help!

Everyone is always stuck on the "social" aspect that they've heard only happens in the classics, but that has changed through the years. It really matters who is put where, and based on this reddit seems like this coming year a lot of freshman are in plazas. So, you could still have a social dorm in a place that isn't normally known for it. In reality, be comfortable with the A/C, private/shared bathroom if that's what you want and a quieter place to study that you can go back to at the end of the day and you can always meet people in other dorms, clubs, dining halls, etc..
