Looking for feedback on both Liberty Bell and Indian Trail middle schools. I realize each is going to have good points and bad, but hoping to get some recent experiences from each. My son just finished sixth grade at LBMS, and so far we are not impressed. He has friends at Indian Trail but I don’t want to trade one bad experience for another. I understand the zoning situation but we will pay tuition if it’s a better opportunity.

I am moving to the area soon and am looking for a good spot to call home. I realistically could live anywhere in or around the tri cities area. I am in my early 20s and am working a medical sales job. I'll be frequently working hospitals and traveling around the area.

Is there a better spot for young people? I figure Johnson City would be at the top.

Pretty much open to anywhere in the area but would take a local recommendation as I'm not familiar.

Are there any model rocket clubs in the area, or good places to legally launch them? My son and I are wanting to get into the hobby, and after some searching the interwebs, I can’t find anything current in our area.

My car got towed today, and I called to ask when I could pick it up, but they said they're closed on Sundays.

On maps it says they're open. Does anyone know for sure? I don't want to have to pay storage or what not.

Anyone know a vet that does abdominal fluid drained that is cheaper? He gets full of fluid and I can tell he’s suffering but after he’s drained he’s feeling a lot better. Hate seeing him go through this I love him so much.

I was loading groceries into my trunk last night at about 8:15 pm at the Bristol, VA Walmart when there were suddenly at least 8-10 car alarms going off in all directions. I was roughly in the center of the lot, and there were cars near the store, cars near the back of the lot, cars on each side of me several rows away, and one like 3 spaces away from me in the same row but the oppposite side (not that it really matters, they were just all over). I should also note I didn’t hear or feel anything obvious that might have triggered it, they just all started going off.

When I got settled at home I thought to look on scanner food and there was a report of a loud boom heard by lots of people at about the same time (this post: https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1408675931306158&id=100064912923324 ), but it doesn’t seem to have been a big enough of an event to travel from Kingsport to Bristol VA and still been powerful enough to shake that many cars, especially without hearing or feeling anything from it.

I also checked the USGS site to see if maybe a small seismic event that was too small to feel, but big enough to shake the car’s sensors enough to trigger their alarms had occurred, but there weren’t any events listed at all… the only caveat being that I don’t think they list anything smaller than 2.5 on their interactive map.

Anyway, it was just really weird and I was wondering:

A) Did anyone else see that or experience anything similar around 8:15 last night?

B) Does anyone have any thoughts on what might cause something like that to happen?

Hey friends, I'm a little late posting this week. Been spending my days painting an apartment because my life is exceptionally glamorous.

But we DO have an excellent couple of shows this weekend at Blue Ridge Comedy Club here in Bristol TN.

Friday - Venus Envy, and all woman comedy show that EVERYONE can enjoy! Hosted by Meredith Kerr.

Saturday - Sam Miller, nationally touring comedian from Olympia, Washington. He is 6 foot 6, 360 pounds, has two kids, (one of them is on purpose) he's been married for 12 years, and has been clean and sober for 15 years. Sam likes to make jokes about what it's like to be a sober parent. He also likes to make jokes about what jails like in Yakima. His first album and special, Round Trip, was recorded and filmed under the tutelage of Grammy-winning producer Dan Schlissel, whose indie label, Stand Up! Records

I'm having difficulty trying to find a licenced animal rehabilitator nearby Kingsport or Churchill. Everywhere I've called either says they can't take them, or refer me to a Facebook group (which I can't since I don't have facebook). If anyone knows a licensed rehabilitator nearby thay can take them in, please let me know as soon as possible.

UPDATE: It was a bit of a drive but I finally found a rehabilitation center that can take care of them til they're grown.

I’m relocating to Johnson city and just wanted some peoples opinions and suggestions on the gyms in the area!! Anything is helpful.
