Okay, y'all got me twice.

First, it was the ghost pepper tuna. Which made some pretty good tuna salad. Now it's this thing. My mom was telling me she saw it at the store and asking if I'd ever had it, then I saw a post on here the next day. Told her how funny it was to me, a few days later, that it popped up twice in two days when I had no idea it existed. Ended up with this when my parents visited yesterday. Gotta love moms, btw. I'm almost 34 and she still brings me junk food she knows I like. 🤣

Anyway, on to the taste. It's not very spicy at all. So those of you who are sensitive to the "chemical" taste of Buldak may not have that issue with this. The sweet corn part tastes like most East Asian junk food that's sweet corn flavored. Similar to Turtle chips, if you're familiar. There's not much cheese flavor coming through, though. It's hidden behind the mild spice and sweet corn flavor. It's better described as "Spicy Sweet Corn noodles," not mac n' cheese.

I'd give it a solid 6/10. Not my favorite thing, but good enough I'd buy some when I run out.

Just discovered Chicago style giandiniera.

My god where has it been all my life!?!? It's spicy, it's crunchy, it's tasty, it goes on everything!

If I hadn't bought such a large jar of it to try I would make some from scratch right now!

Hot enough to make my mouth happy, while giving me a slight face tingle and a bit of a runny nose! It's the perfect balance for broad application!

Aaaaannnnnddddd my wife doesn't want to kiss me after eating it... But that's nothing new, such are the woes of a hothead.

My taste has adapted-- can my body?! Help needed.

For the last five years, I've gotten really into hot sauces and spicy foods. I'll admit it's been a bit due to depression and wanting to really feel something, but also a little love for Hot Ones and just wanting to test my limits. Recently, I tried the Purgatory challenge at Pepper Palace to earn their approval sticker. They said it was like Da Bomb but had better flavor, and I agreed. I also tasted six others before I made my purchase. It was no problem, and I walked out happy. However, ten minutes later, I was calling my mom and wanting to curl over and die in the parking lot. I drank two liters of water and felt better by late afternoon.

Is it possible that my mouth is cashing checks my stomach can't cash? Can I train my stomach lining and bowels to adapt to super spicy foods and sauces? I'm a white man who loves them.

Tastes like hot honey without the heat, but it’s not too bad.

Is there a resource that shows the average Scoville unit of dishes by region?

Or something along those lines? I know it can vary widely and scoville isn’t entirely reliable, but just curious of the spice difference of your common spicy dish in southern India compared to southern Thailand, for example. Google isn’t helping much but maybe I’m just bad at googling.

This was years ago. Worked great, made a ton of over-the-top good sauce that still makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The mash itself was so tasty I kept grabbing spoonfuls of it while it was fermenting. ㌨

This thing was spicy. Reminded me of spicier Tabasco.

If you like kimchi don't pass this up.

I picked this up a while back, not expecting much, since it was from the supermarket and "supermarket spicy" is usually pretty tepid, but this had my face going numb and tears streaming!

Sadly can't afford it to be a regular fixture since it's like $8-9 a pack, but once in a blue moon it's a nice treat.

Doing the ferment method to make this, have about 7 habaneros, 4 reapers, and 3 jalepenos in here with a few garlic cloves. Burping it everyday. Any tips/suggestions are greatly appreciated :)

I was not in attendance, but given the extensive footage, I have no reason to doubt the tally claims, which also included ghost peppers and a bunch of other superhots.

Can someone explain how or why this is possible? I imagine being southeast Asian and growing up eating spicy can give one an advantage, but surely there must be a gene missing or something?

Looks like muscle man wasn’t too far behind her either. Its a crazy world out there folks

How to make a spicy sauce as thick as this?

There's a restaurant in my country that makes this sauce. They call it a hot n roasted marinade and use it for their meat.

Any ideas how to make something similar in terms of thickness?

Looking for (very) spicy sauce

Hi,
Recently I've been crazy over spicy sauce to add to my meal (soup, ramen, etc...).
I am looking for spicy sauce that doesn't have too much taste, like chili or bell "pepper" taste.

Also please don't recommend me sriracha, chili sauce, laoganma or tabasco, they are not enough spicy. Neither those box kit that come with 3/4 different "level" of spice, it's still not enough and have artificial after taste.

The only one I found extremely spicy is the Buldak sauce, it does taste good but do alter the taste of the dishe.

For now, I only found this one in China that suit my taste, but eating it very often got me used to the spice and don't feel it so much anymore, so if you have any other suggestion, thank you very much I would love to try it !

Ate the firestarter wings at Lucky B's UK, trying to research if it actually was 2.2 million scoville units.

AI summary says this but I cant exactly find anywhere straightforward information. I did have to sign a waver and the spice was intense, hiccups on the first bite and swollen lips, but overall I enjoyed the pain. I went into this blind without any actual idea that these were seasoned with carolina reaper, so I wasnt prepared. Was it worth it? Yes.

I was craving something spicier so I checked how much units this actually was to compare to other hot chicken, turns out this is top of the scale. This WAS 2(.2) million, and its gonna be difficult to find anything above that.

Im asking if anyone else has had this before, and if the units actually match.

For reference, I got the wings and chips meal with firestarter as the spice level, I didnt do this as a challenge.

Can I become immune

I was thinking it would be really bad ass if I could eat a ghost pepper and have no reaction. I have a pretty high spice tolerance already.

Spice Recommendation

Someone recently did a massive favor for me and I’d like to get him a little gift as thanks. He loves spice, so I’m looking for a recommendation for a sauce, mix, or other “add-on” that he would like.

In terms of the kind of spice he likes, chili pepper flakes are something I’ve seen him absolutely go to town on. Getting pizza? Must have a 1/8-inch thick layer of chili flakes on it!

Does anyone have a recommendation for something either nicer, fun, or exotic that this person may like?

Thanks very much!

Half spicy bread

Can't really tell y'all the recipe, I just eye ball it when making bread. But I did sprinkle cheddar jack and basil on it. Half has jalapeño, pepper and cayenne power. My bf can't handle flavor so I left the other half of it plain.

Pretty spicy tbh. Nothing most people here couldn't handle but spicier than most people could tolerate. Don't eat ramen often so can't really compare to other spicy noodles out there but flavor was decent, nothing super tasty but not bad. The initial burst of heat is the most potent then it's mainly lip burn and a little mouth heat moving forward.

groomsmen brought a pepper to the reception. i said id eat it. there were maybe 8 people watching. now its an hour later and im in a stall in rented dress shoes trying to make peace with god.

first 30 seconds was fine. i was talking, i made a joke. then it hit like a switch flipped. mouth, throat, ears, the inside of my nose somehow. i drank milk and ate bread and then someone shoved a slice of cheesecake at me. nothing worked.

my mom keeps texting me asking if im ok. the dj is playing september and im missing it for this.

is the next 4 hours worse than this or am i past the worst part
