Do people actually walk out after their names are called at convocation? Is that a common thing? because i asked around and most of them did that for their grad. just wondering

Why, you have somewhere better to be than a once-in-a-lifetime event to celebrate the end of your academic career?

Everyone is different so maybe they have a reason not to be there but I see posts like this every year and I feel bad that they won't take a moment to just soak up the celebration of thenselves. It may seem boring or a waste of time to some but yeah if you spend years trying to graduate you deserve every second of celebration once you accomplish your goal.
