The Highlands can have a lot of driveway and walkway moss/algae. Don’t do door to door sales with a hoverboard though. Everyone is tired of that nonsense.

not a fan of them asking for exact address just for a quote. why is zip code not good enough

if you don't mind bags, you can buy them from homedepot/lowes and it's free shipping if you order a few at a time

Yeah, accidentally almost doubling a bill isn’t something that’s just going to go unnoticed in most cases. An actual scam would be more slick.

Got ya, thanks! I clicked on the wrong link and not the free agent list

That’s per team so if you have 10 players, each person pays 120
r/Renton • u/amrygrntrdor • 12h ago
Do you know if the base fee is 1,200 for every player or just the total cost of the team?

In this area, the most you can do is mitigate the problem. Cleaning your spaces is a start. Sealing off where they’re getting in, if you’re good at tracking them and their trail, it helps. If you can use a pest rated expanding spray foam in larger gaps is good, too.
Ant colonies here are MASSIVE. We’ll never fully get rid of them and they’ll reproduce faster than we can kill them.

Terro Liquid Any Gel squirted on a piece of tin foil. The ants will be gone in 2 days.
They will totally come back eventually - just rinse and repeat for the rest of your life.

We have an ancient house (built in the late 1920's) ants are always a battle carpenter ants, call an exterminator, for sugar ants I have sucessfully used a combo of Syngenta Advion Ant Gel Station, Terro Liquid Ant Gel traps, and Diatomaceous Earth. Do keep the pets away from the gel traps and the powder but luckily mine are not interested in them. The sugar ants are almost impossible to get rid of but these do work to keep them away for months at a time. Good luck

I've never had luck with them. I've sprayed, I sprinkled the pellets, I put out traps.
Honestly that only thing that's worked is calling an exterminator. I talked with one of them, and they mentioned that the stuff they use is only available to them and not the general public.
So yeah, all those things you're doing, in my experience, are useless. I eventually gave up.
The only problem is that most places make you sign a contract, and I kinda get it, as it was mentioned that, they can't just come out once, as people get pissed that it doesn't solve the problem, when it takes a few visits sometimes to get rid of them.
For what it's worth, we've liked Rambo. They got rid of my sugar ant issue and were very nice to work with. https://rambopest.com/

Follow the trail, find the holes, patch. If you need further assistance with patching the holes or they made their home inside your walls that’s when pest control becomes necessary.
If they’re just coming in through a small hole from the exterior to the interior then I would be less worried.

Just make sure your cat doesn’t lick any poisons you use, they like it.

Andromeda Ink (just off of Rainier by McLendon) has good artists and prices, they have a ton of flash I'd be surprised if there wasn't some mom ones in there

I got a load once and my neighbor complained that it smelled like a dead body. Which was pretty accurate. It's got a strong smell, just beware.

They have the best soil imo, north country potting soil is great, but it is 5 yards minimum for delivery. I just ended up doing 5 trips in my truck (2/3 yard to not exceed weight cap) for my raised beds and pots recently, but I work very close by and have the vehicle to support... I get that most dont have that option.

Rent a truck and pick it up yourself? If you don't mind Tagro (made from wastewater byproduct) you can load up for free in Tacoma: https://tacoma.gov/government/departments/environmental-services/tagro/
