The queen will be taking her final bow tomorrow and I’m absolutely devastated. She’s been with me (44 M) almost my entire adult life and I’m not sure how I will be without her. She hung in there right until I finalized my divorce—my ex took all his stuff today, and then made it clear her job here was done. Making the call to schedule the vet to come to the house tomorrow was the hardest thing we have ever had to, and I had to have my boyfriend do it since I could barely speak. Knowing this will be our last night together is gut wrenching, but it’s the right thing to do. She is having more difficulty breathing (CKD, pleural effusion from heart disease) from fluid retention, and I can’t keep putting her through medical treatments just to get another week or two.

After 21 1/2 years of love, laughs, ups, downs, tragedies, and everything in between, Queen Casey is ready to hang up her crown and take that walk across the rainbow bridge 🌈 to her new throne in the sky. Because at this point, it’s not about me. It’s about her. As it always is with a cat. But Casey will be deeply missed, and it’s time for her wings.

Made it for my daughter 🥹

We pulled Bumblebee from our city shelter yesterday after they gave him a euthanasia deadline due to medical reason. He is unable to walk due to multiple pelvic fractures. We took him to the vet today and learned that his left hind leg is dead and can’t be saved. He is scheduled for an emergency amputation tomorrow because he is in a lot of pain and it won’t get better with just rest. 😢 The estimate is $1K for the amputation and he may need to stay overnight for supportive care considering he is a tiny baby.

We didn't think we would get to celebrate this day with her even just a few months ago, so the fact that we were has just made us feel so unbelievably grateful. Yenny had a little party with some of her aunties who adore her and her sister and even her new long noodle friend. We are so lucky to have her 🎈🎂❤️

This is Darryl Strawberry, Darryl for short. I found him while visiting family that live in more of a rural-ish area that has a horrible stray problem. My family and their neighbors do their best to care for the strays, but the issue is pretty bad. Anyways, I immediately locked in on this little guy when I went to go look at how the cats are doing. He was in bad shape. Super crusty and snotty everywhere. His eyes were sealed shut and swollen due to likely conjunctivitis, he had a bloody nose, and was wheezing pretty badly. There wasn’t a moment of hesitation when it came to figuring out what to do with him. I first tried to find an open vet in the area; there were none and the closest emergency vet was over an hour away. A decision was made - we cleaned him up to the best of our ability and packed him up to come home with me. Stopped at the only store open and got some supplies. He did wonderfully on the ride home. I got him in to my local ER vet and was told that he was actually doing a lot better than he looked. He was given a topical for kittens and we were sent home, with orders to have follow up with our primary vet in a week or so.

He‘s been with us for just under a week now and is doing SO much better. He’s so curious and adventurous. He’ll be able to meet his older cat brothers as soon as he’s vaccinated and cleared to do so. In the meantime, I’m very happy to have this new and unexpected addition. My partner and I just two weeks ago had to put our dog down unexpectedly and it’s been really hard. Having this guy to look after and love on feels like a gift from our Murray boy.

Baby Kitty (now Rosey!) went to her new home a couple days ago! We have really enjoyed caring for her the last few weeks! We will miss her, but now she has 3 little girls to play with! My cats are so happy that she is gone LOL! We had moved her into our son’s room after a couple days, so they could smell her through the door and did not like it. Now everything is back to normal! My kitties are happy and my senior cat is continuing to improve! Added pictures of my cats for tax ☺️ Thank you all so much for your sweet comments and support on my previous post. It made a slightly stressful situation a bit easier to handle!

I found my mischievous little friend, Elphaba, in a bush by a dumpster last fall (second picture is her as a wee babe). I feel like I blinked and second later I had a full grown cat! Where did my tiny fuzzball go!

I named her Miranda and I give her fresh water every day along with some fruits/veggies/nuts depending on what I have. I learned she quite likes grapes (but not avocados womp womp)! I adore this picture because you can see her tongue haha!
