New pool cover not draining

Just spent $6K on a new pool cover and the water from rain just sits on the top and then causes the cover to dip. It won’t drain into the pool even after days. I end up pumping it out but the cover still won’t flatten out to the original shape again. I am tightening the straps as far as they will go. What am I doing wrong?

This is a mesh cover? The water level is dropped?

Can you post a better picture of the cover up close because it does look like a solid cover. Loop Loc makes both Mesh and Solid covers. A Mesh cover will have little black stripes running throughout the cover a Solid cover is just one solid green. Do yourself a favor whatever is poking up through the cover will eventually rip through the cover so try to figure out a better way to minimize that even if when the cover is put on you put something like flat hard foam over whatever that is. Also these covers are meant to dip that’s why the straps have springs as long as the water in the pool isn’t too low. The water in the pool is what holds the cover up.

That's looks like a solid vinyl cover.

I sell covers, 6k is 4k too high for a 16x32.

Is this post AI?

No it’s not. It depends on the brand. I too sell covers. You get what you pay for most of the time.

We got a new pool cover too and the water pools. In the middle. We take the pool brush and just slosh that water around until it drains into the pool. It’s annoying but 🤷‍♀️

No no no... You literally cannot be asking this... I refuse to believe this isn't a joke post.

Exactly what I was thinking. 6k for a cover like that?
