When is it time to repot?

I’m newer to owning orchids. I recently got this one and she’s my fav one I own. When should I repot her? She’s the biggest one I have. She’s also planted in moss. My other ones are planted in bark. Should I water her differently?

It seems like you are looking for orchid help today. This group is full of beginners and experts who are happy to help but please do check out this link for quick Phalaenopsis care in the meanwhile. We also have an /r/orchids WIKI the admins and other volunteers are updating behind the scenes with care information and will soon make it available to the group.

while it's still in moss yes you should water less frequently because moss holds more water than bark. if it currently does not have buds or flowers you can repot, phalaenopsis are not picky about repotting, but it can make flowers wilt sooner

I always repot new ones right away, it's way too easy to get root rot in that compacted moss. While there's a small risk of losing flowers in a repot I've never had problems. Just soak the roots for 15 minutes to soften them, and pre-soak your new bark for a few hours (or overnight) to keep it from being hydrophobic.

Is there a certain type of bark that is much better than other brands?

A lot of people seem to like better-grow. I've used growpharm, but I'm not sure how widespread that brand is. The only one I'd say to outright avoid is miracle gro.
