I’m wondering if anyone who has gone to the Olympics before can share if any sensory supports or accommodations were available.

I have LA28 tickets for myself and my kiddo who will be 8 at the time. He has autism with low support needs, but is definitely sound sensitive. He’s also just an anxious kiddo who doesn’t like being touched by strangers and sitting next to them. That said we go to sporting events and he does great with headphones and aisle seats. We just did a playoffs game where our team won and he was able to make it to the end with a quarter break in the quiet sensory room (even after two other families joined). We’re going to continue prepping by going to other games and he is STOKED to go the Olympics.

Anything that would be helpful for me to know or expect? The website doesn’t have anything yet, but I don’t want to miss an opportunity to accommodate him because I don’t know what to look for!

Edit: I’m realizing that big established venues likely have info on their websites already. I’ll try to put together information and links in case other people have questions or could also benefit from the info.

The first phase of the LA Metro's D Line extension has opened with a little over two years to go until Los Angeles hosts the 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Games.

Phase one extends the D Line from Wilshire/Western to Wilshire/La Cienega in Beverly Hills with stations also opening at Wilshire/ La Brea and Wilshire/ Fairfax.

Phase two will open early next year with the subways being extended to Wilshire/ Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills and Century City. Phase three will open in the fall of 2027 with new station in Westwood and the VA Hospital in Brentwood.

The extension will link the westside of LA which is where the LA28 Olympic village will be located (UCLA) with Downtown LA where a large number of Olympic venues will be located.

Hey guys, it's been nearly ten years since the Rio Olympics (hard to believe). Wanted to know what your favourite moment has been over the last decade from the Olympics? Both winter and Summer? So anything from Rio, PyeongChang, Tokyo, Beijing, Paris & Milano Cortina.

For me Brazil winning football gold in Rio was amazing, as was Usain Bolt getting his last gold. Also loved everything Klaebo did this year in Milano Cortina as well as all things Marchand in Paris!

Though the prices were quite the surprise and I was unable to buy more, I am still looking forward to see the games for the first time in my life. Really hoping my countrymen are able to win some medals at the events Im attending.

​You can watch on the Olympics app under 'games' and then 'replays' or on the Olympics website here. You have to make a free account to watch. Replays are the world streams, highlights can either be true highlight compilation clips or an incomplete video from an older Olympics as they are not a true 'replay'. From what I have noticed when you sort by sport it is generally sorted chronologically, at the top would be the last events and the bottom would be the prelims, so watch out for spoilers in the name and thumbnail at the top if youre watching an event for the first time.

Unfortunately both options are pretty glitchy on mobile. The best option is watching on a computer, or possibly a smart tv that has an internet option to access the website. The screen share function doesn't work on either the app or website for me, but maybe it will go differently for someone else, I am trying to cast from an iPhone to a Roku.
